Reviews for The Plaza Restaurant in Orlando, FL

The menu is literally 5 items and a couple of desserts, but the food is actually good. I think this place is best suited for... adult couples, or somewhere to take your elderly parents, more so than it is a restaurant for families with young children. Isay that because this place is very relaxed, and slow moving, and probably just appeals to anyone over 40. Try the Reubensandwich. It's not greasy and bursting with corned beef like the ones you find in New York, but it's good nonetheless. Read more

Our experience at The Plaza was great. We had Ken as our waiter and he was super attentive and always checking in on us. The... food was average. The cheese fries that we got for an appetizer were like cheese fries you would get from a diner. The sandwichI had was absolutely incredible though. Overall great experience. Read more

It's not often that I come to a Disney park restaurant and say, that was good. But this day I did! We came to the Plaza to see... what it was all about. And at the time they had a monte cristo on their menu. Can't pass up that opportunity. We showed up atour reservation time, you can't eat anywhere in Disney without a reservation nowadays, and got seated in that little windowednub that gave us a great view of the castle. Very nice. Our server was super cool. Very good service. We started off with anapp, the Seared Crab Cakes (Served with Apple Slaw and a Zesty Aïoli). These were simple and small, but very crabby, which isall I can ask for. And the sweet, acidic slaw with the zesty heat of the aioli really made this a nice little app you could findat a real restaurant. Then, for my main entrée, I got the The Main Street Burger (7oz All-Beef Patty topped with Cheddar,House-made Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Sunny-side Up Egg, Beer-battered Onion Ring, and Roasted Poblano-Mayonnaise served on aFlour-dusted Kaiser Bun). This was a good burger. Wow. A nice, soft Kaiser that was sturdy enough to hold up to the juicy,well-cooked patty. Nice, thick slices of bacon, a beautiful egg, and a massive piece of eye candy that is your onion ring. I wasvery surprised at the quality of this burger. Please, don't hesitate to order this, if you're considering. I also got to try amonte cristo sandwich. It's not currently on their menu, so I don't have details, and you might not be able to order it, but ifyou run into it, this thing is Decadent. There is nothing light about this. It's heavy, and fried to the max, and just what Iwas looking for. We had fries as our sides. Standard. We had a hot fudge milkshake for dessert. Standard. Overall, this placeis one of the better places to get food at Magic Kingdom. Don't squander this opportunity. Read more

the food is fine, nothing special really. they offer a variety of options which is nice. the best thing is that they are one of... the few sit-down non-buffet style/pricing restaurants in magic kingdom. the dining area is small but beautiful and clean. it?sworth noting that this area is so small that there is no restroom inside. service was nice and quick. Never eaten here before. Tucked back behind the ice cream shop on main St. Across from Casey's corner. Was a really fun little... spot. Waitress was awesome and the food was great. Asked for a cherry coke but they didn't have one. So tossed some cherriesinto a glass of coke. For the refill brought me a huge cup of cherries haha Read more

Had the turkey club (blt) comes with fries. Triple layer sandwich we shared so we could have separate desserts. The Monte Cristo... looked like almost like a fried chip. We got the banana split which is huge. It comes with chocolate vanilla and strawberry icecream. It also has pineapple, 3 cherries, whipped cream, and a full banana. I got the dark chocolate bread pudding with soychocolate ice cream. The ice cream was extremely good than other soy ones. They said the bread pudding was dairy-free, but Ididn't trust it as it wasn't on the allergy menu. It was very good, but very dense/heavy for a lunch at a theme park to runaround afterwards. The servers were ok, not the extreme bubblyness of most Disney staff (unless you get sick of that). It seemsa lot bigger than it really is. Read more

The Plaza looked fantastic. It has excellent theming and has a wonderful of the Castle. The food, however, is okay. The... appetizer of loaded fries is just plain sad, as you can see from my picture. It is not worth the cost by any stretch of theimagination. The entrees were bland and lukewarm. The service was slow, and our waiter got a little snippy when I ordered asecond beer. Overall there are much better places to eat when it comes to food, but if this is all you can get, maybe stick to aquick service location. Read more

One of our favorite places to dine at the Magic Kingdom. They have vegan options, gluten free options, as well as sugar free... options to assist with dietary needs. They can be busy but will allow you to go somewhere to shop and will text when your tableis ready. Highly recommend! Read more
