This is my second time partaking in the food and hospitality of The Monroe. It's just as good as the first time. The various... food options are great, and can you believe that I visited right after they decided to bring the Frito Pie back?! It's basicallynachos but instead tortilla chips, you have Fritos/Scoops... very delicious. The Fried Chicken is still cooked to borderlinesouthern perfection, it was dark meat only so if you have a predilection to white... maybe just don't order it? Regardless,very well seasoned and cooked. Next time I visit (which won't be a whole entire year wait) I think I will try the steak. If Ihad one complaint, maybe... maybe the mashed potatoes had a little too much gravy. Also, the free parking on busy days andnights will fill up fast... so be prepared to use the very nearby garage at $3 (currently) an hour. Really can't wait to comeagain in the very near future. For my birthday dinner, my friends and I chose to go for dinner at the Monroe. Out of all my experiences for my birthday month... this year, this was the best I have had. My server was one of the sweetest I ever had. He was super patient with me and helpedme pick out a drink. Though I didn't like my first one, he came by and replaced before I could say no. I decided to order thechicken sandwich. Though I would say it is on the oiler side, it was worth it. The oil they coat their chicken in gives theperfect amount of heat. The fries were great and I honestly loved the atmosphere of the place. The tables next to us were superfriendly and I think that night everyone was celebrating a birthday. I also loved that they have special menu for theircustomer's birthdays. The menu will have a little happy birthday saying in the corner. I did not even know they had that andloved the detail. At the end of dinner the server was so nice to surprise me with a small dessert for my birthday and even acandle. The night couldn't have ended better and it was a great experience. I will be definitely coming back but I might go forlunch or brunch instead to check out their coffee and see if this is my new study place. (it would be well worth the drive) Read more
This has by far been one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time. From the extremely fresh food to the amazing... customer service trust me you will enjoy yourself and won't be disappointed. Even with my steak well done it was so soft andjuicy with juices flowing on the plate. The food comes fresh and super hot. Even the ice cream was fresh. I'll definitely beback. Parking is $3 per hour or street parking on mobile app before 6pm EST. You WON'T be disappointed and trust me I would knowbecause I'm definitely one to normally have issues when I go places which isn't good but true. Read more
Such a cute boho-style restaurant. Metered street parking right across the street. Very clean and trendy with plenty of... indoor/outdoor seating. The service was excellent; very attentive and helpful. Brunch adult drinks were refreshing. The menuseems limited, but there is something feasible for every type of eater. We had the chicken & waffles and mushroom scramble, bothof which were delicious. I am not typically a waffle person nor whipped cream person, but whatever love they put into theserecipes definitely can make me change my mind. The ambiance is exceptional. The service was great. The food (hanger steak and fried chicken) were warm but not hot. The brownie... from the brownie and ice cream was really a huge chunk of hard fudge. The acoustics make for a loud, echoey environment. The Monroe is officially now one of my favorite restaurants downtown (Orlando)! Decorative, Chic/stylish and commodious. We... dined at the Monroe on a Friday evening and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere, which we really enjoyed. The food wasdelicious & the staff was friendly - highly recommend. Read more
We came out to The Monroe for date night during the week and it was good as far as the vibe and aesthetic. I?m not sure I would... go back for the food but I?m glad we tried it. I think the drinks were also decent, but nothing special in my opinion. Read more
This place is so clean, the atmosphere is so calm, the artwork on the walls is amazing, and the outside area is so cool! Their... happy hour cocktails tasted great. I got the Monroe Punch which had a perfect mix of everything. As an appetizer, we got thepork belly which was super tender and full of flavor. I ordered the chicken sandwich which had the right amount of crisp, sauce,pickles and flavoring. It was very juicy and had the perfect portion. I would highly recommend coming here on a first date, oreven a regular date night! Read more
