The waiters in Sonny's BBQ are really incompetent. My friends and I have been looking for a BBQ for a long time. The results are... really bad. We are Chinese. The waiter didn't even say hello to me when we came in. She smiles at other Americans and rolls hereyes. We only have to find a place by ourselves. She doesn't use knives and forks. This waiter is discriminating against usChinese. It's really annoying. If she's busy, I won't Say something, but she just sat on the chair and looked at us. Don't goto this BBQ. Too bad. Read more
The food was okay..love the atmosphere. It was what I remember in Texas but it might be done better over in Dallas.
Sonny's BBQ was a short walk from our hotel. We were staying at Residence Inn by Mariott. We ordered smoked wings, grill... cheese with mac & cheese as our side. Prices are reasonable and portions were great! Service was top-notch! Read more
It was ok. I've had better sonny's and certainly better bbq. At least the beer was nice and cold. But nothing out of this world.... Again, it was raining and it was nearby. Fantastic server (Courtney) was one of the most pleasant during our trip to Jeep Beach! Seriously, she was fantastic! Food was... delicious, fairly priced, fast, and portions were hearty. The drinks to go offer was the tip of the 5 star review iceberg :) Ifyou like BBQ, you'll likely love this place, the atmosphere, the drinks, and the food. Read more
