We tried NYPD tonight for dinner. Got a cheese pizza it was ok. Nothing to write about. Will not get again. Yes we have ate real... New York pizza. I will say the salads was good. This is how we got delivered our pizza. Being from NYC we were excited to try this pizza. They only got 2 stars because they did... remake and re deliver. But this is not award winning pizza. No possible way. The dough was not tasty. The cheese was not thatgood. I mean we were HUNGRY so we ate. But yea won?t try again. Delivery by your driver. Ordered over phone directly. After going to two other pizza places that ended up being closed, we ventured to NYPD Pizza Lake Side location and it did not... disappoint. Garlic knots, wings and pizza were outstanding. Highly recommend and if we ever travel back to Orlando, we willdefinitely go back!!!! Read more
Any chance I can I try NY style pizza ????????????. I was excited to find this place. The pizza maker was very skilled when... tossing that 18" dough up in the air. I tried a half pepperoni and half cheese ????. I found the pizza a little to chewy for mytaste and it wouldn't hold up if you tried to hold it by the crust and bite the tipped end. The flavor wasn't bursting like Iexpected. I give four stars because I love NY style pizza and I want every pizzeria to be successful long enough to get itright. Read more
Ordered takeout. Excellent pizza! Ready on time. We loved the Da? Bronx BBQ pizza and the Manhattan Meat Lovers. The kids loved... the cheese pizza, & we shared two large Caesar salads among four of us. The appetizers were okay, but for the price, we didn?tregret it! You will find delicious pizza and Italian cuisine here for a reasonable price. The ambiance is simple and perhaps a touch... insulting to New York's finest, but the litigation that took place regarding the NYPD logo and name was finished around '05.Just keep in mind that if you are going to the place because you back the blue, you are being played. The judgment they receivedinsisted that they must post a message that states they are not endorsed by or connected with the New York Police Department andthat they cannot run their establishments in the domain of said organization. I am not saying that the logo and name aren'tclever, but to some, they may seem a touch disingenuous and misleading. That said, I found that the Rustic Salsiccia pizza wasa delight. The caramelized onions and garlic really stood out, and the sausage was wonderfully flavorful. They have done well atputting themselves squarely in the middle of the fresh ingredients pizza movement that has risen out of the dust of the oldcorporate model. The garlic knots were nice, but perhaps a little overdone. My mother's calzone, which was the pepperoni roll,was quite nice if the bite I sampled was any indication. Other members of my table enjoyed the meatball appetizer and thechicken club Pizza. Based on my experience, if only for the food, this is generally going to be a very good bet in the area ofInternational Drive. Our service was wonderful. Our waitress, Hunter, took excellent care of our table and made sureeverybody's cups were full, food was promptly distributed, and that everybody was satisfied with their meal. So, short of somepersonal qualms I have about the marketing strategy employed by this chain, I have to recommend that you consider them seriouslyif you are looking for New York style pizza in this region of Orlando's tourist corridor.
