Reviews for Margaritaville in Orlando, FL
Our waitress was amazing! I will find her name and edit this post with it because I know I kept the receipt just for that. The... food was delicious from the chips and guac to the Beyond Burger which was completely vegan/vegetarian. I opted for a side housesalad with ranch (which the dressing is not vegan but other options available.) I was not a fan of our drinks. Based on the oneswe got, nothing was spectacular about them and it felt overpriced for what they were. Wouldn't recommend a frozen drink. Thereis a outdoor walk up window bar available. Multiple indoor bars available for walk up to go drinks. Outdoor patio dining also anoption. Construction is currently going on in the center of the restaurant so seating is limited. The host stand seemed likethey were trying to get rid of us the moment we walked up. They told us it would be a 30 minute wait, but we told them we didn'tmind. As he checked us in, he then told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait. However, we got the text to return just 5 minutesafter. Setting the right expectation on wait times is important, but it felt like they wanted us to walk away. Luckily ourwaitress and the food made it all worth it. Read more
Always great atmosphere. Service was great. Enjoyed the Lava Shrimp appetizer, the Cuban sandwich and the fish tacos. Fish... tacos were flaky and crispy. Not a fan of the black bean side. Read more
Food was good, our waitress was great! Hostess guy could have been friendlier and let us know we could eat at the bar instead of... telling us there was a thirty minute wait and not giving us the option to eat at bar which we found out we could do on our own.Other than that, lunch was great, margaritas were perfect, over all fun and good experience. Returned later that evening toenjoy the bar across the street. Again waitress was top notch. Thank you too Debilyn our lunch waitress, who was just sofriendly and fun! And thank you to Julie in the evening who took good care of us! Read more
Great atmosphere and ambience. The restaurant itself is an experience complete with an active "booze volcano". Our waiter ... Carlos, was super helpful. The restaurant was complete with stilt walkers that make balloon animals. Mr CC love is one of thestilt walkers he is super genuine and made the experience awesome. The entrees where mediocre and could have used some work butThe appetizers were great and the drinks we're made to perfection. Worth stopping in to visit Mr Love, get an appetizers andmargarita. I will preface this review by saying I am fully aware of staff shortages. That being said, very disappointing second experience... at Margaritaville. We were seated outside (without being asked if we would prefer inside) in 60 degree weather. There were heatlamps, but they did little to make the patrons comfortable. I looked around- people had hands in their pockets, kids had hoodsover their heads. When I inquired about whether the heat lamps could be turned up, I was told by a sweet girl that she could askher manager. We never heard another word. To try to take my mind off the cold, I ordered a passion fruit guava drink which wastasty when it arrived 20 minutes after I ordered it. The "perfect margarita" used not so great tequila and was overly salty. Thefood had good flavor (especially the ceviche), but the cooks need a little training on execution- do not cook shrimp until it isdifficult to bite into, sweet plantains should not sit around after being cooked, and medium rare steak does not mean mediumwell. The buttermilk fried chicken was good - but be aware of the copious amounts of creamy gravy all over the plate. Theatmosphere was nice - guitar player pleased the crowd with nice tunes and a stilt artist made balloon animals for the kids. Wewould have stayed longer and ordered dessert- if we hadn't been so cold. Bottom line - Margaritaville is supposed to be about anexperience to transport you to a place of no worries. Unfortunately not the case tonight. If this is what City Walk is about -you can do better! Read more
Very cool atmosphere and vibe. Menu is pretty expansive and has a lot more than you would think. My frozen margarita was very... tasty and the artichoke crab dip was great. Pasta & chicken dishes were okay, nothing to remember, but were good! Service wasprompt and friendly. Read more
Margaritas were great and amazing. A little overpriced in my opinion. The nachos were way too salty and staff didn?t care. We... had a large group of 9. Overall the drinks were great. Food ok. We did make reservations a day in advance via open table. The live music made it fun. Read more
Margaritaville is a good choice of restaurant in Universal. Our experience started out a little rocky because the hostess was a... little rude. After that little hiccup our experience was wonderful. Our server was very pleasant. We started with the nachos, which are huge!! We split them 4 ways and it was a nice food oasis after 8 hours in the park. We also ordered the coconut shrimpand the beach club. Both were pretty good. Next time I?d probably order something other than the beach club though. Read more
