Mares is very good Peruvian food. I've been here a couple of times now and had a good experience on both occasions. As you can... tell by the pics I did have to sit outside it had a really good lunch crowd. Plus, I had to work a bit and it was noisy. Theplace is not big at all inside and it feels cramped when full. Nevertheless, the servers are really nice, attentive and helpfulwith the menu if you are not sure. I tried the Peruvian beer Cusqueña, I do recommend. The food was good. I had the churascocomes as show in pic. My only issues was that I asked for medium well and got medium. It was too busy to go through themotions and I was starving, so I made do. I will definitely go back to try some other items on the menu and sitting inside. LOL. First time trying Peruvian food and it definitely won?t be the last! This restaurant was fantastic. From the food, to the... drinks, and the service. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and attentive the whole night. We got tostones rellenos de ajide gallina as an appetizer and pescado a lo macho and arroz con mariscos as an entree. And the dessert was a delicious passionfruit mousse with kiwi syrup. 10/10 recommend eating here! Also can?t leave out how cute and aesthetically pleasing the decorwas, very nice vibe! Read more

Everything from the decor to the service to the food was over the top spectacular. We were greeted by multiple friendly and... bright faces whose energy matched the jovial decor of the restaurant. Our waiter Javier was so helpful in working with us tofigure out what type of dishes we should order. The ceviche was some of the best I've ever had. You must try the trio of mixedseafood. White fish, calamari, octopus, scallop and shrimp are swimming in three different style sauces: a red pepper, yellowpepper and traditional lime. The fish was a perfect tenderness and the flavors were hitting. We ordered the Yuca appetizer withthe delicious Huancaina sauce. Crispy yuca paired with a savory sauce makes for a great appetizer. Our entrees were even better,Arroz Norteno- a huge seafood rice dish with a cilantro cream/creole sauce, and the Aji de Gallina- a traditional Peruvianchicken dish with yellow pepper cream sauce. My son had heard about this Peruvian restaurant from a coworker and suggested we try it out. We went for lunch yesterday and we... had a wonderful experience. Located in a nice shopping mall, although we had to wait for a table outside for a little bit, themanager or owner kept us updated as to our seating situation. The food was great and service as well. The only reason I gave ita 4 star it?s because i found it the noise level to be loud. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant. Outdoorseating is available.
