Was my first time to eat there yesterday. I liked the transparency on how we get to see kitchen and talk directly to cooks... working inside! I had a wonderful conversation with “Gigi” and “Asmahan” in the kitchen and they were incrediblyfriendly and hospitable. We discovered a hidden gem in Orlando, Florida. I nominate Makani for a Michelin Star. The best place to be on a Saturday... night. The rhythms put you in a mood to free your soul. The food is sinfully scrumptious, the tea, hookha, and music take youback centuries where you relax like a Sultan and enjoy everything life has to offer. The best time spent with my son andinteresting conversations. I enjoyed having Koshary here. It was delicious and service was excellent. The decorations and vibe were perfect. DJ was playing... fun music. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. They’re open late which was great for us after reaching Orlando pastexpected times due to delayed flights. I recommend coming here for a fun and good Mediterranean experience. Many Good things … 1 really bad one.. Excellent service by a trilingual (brazillian, Spanish, English) host, explain each one... of the dishes and explain the chef was Egyptian. As my first time ever coming here and ever having Egyptian food, out server Natalia was great at recommending everything we... ordered on the menu. She was very fast and attentive to everything. The food was incredible and so full of flavor. Everythingfrom our drinks to apps, and meals were served quickly. Will definitely be returning again. Ask for Natalia when you go. This is a huge well decorated Egyptian restaurant. I love the chandeliers and the exotic overall look. I also like the idea of... displaying pictures or portraits of famous Egyptian celebrities on one of the walls. This halal Mediterranean restaurant servesmainly authentic Egyptian food. In my opinion, the food wasn’t all that because the rice was dry and sticky. I asked thewaitress to change it because it was obviously overcooked. She went to the kitchen and came back telling me that they don’thave anymore. Well, I exchanged it for some fries instead. The liver and the chicken were okay, but I’ve had better in otherplaces. Moreover, the prices are kind of high for the quality of food they serve. All in all, the decor is great, yet the foodis just average. Not to forget that they have an outside seating area that is mainly used for hookah or water pipes smokers.Final thought: This restaurant is beautiful, I just wish they can focus more on serving tastier food.
