Reviews for Maguro Latin Asian Cuisine in Orlando, FL

Sushi is my favorite food in the world. I have been to MANY different sushi restaurants, and I think I have a pretty good idea... which ones are the best. I also like to order the more unique types of rolls…I don’t want to order a California roll whenI’m getting sushi!! I hope you can take my word for it then, when I tell you Maguro Latin Asian Cuisine is a REALLY goodrestaurant. As many people have said in reviews, if you like fusion food that pushes the limits of what “Asian food” or“Latin food” can be…you will love this place. So, if you’re like me, who always likes the most unique sushi roll on themenu, Maguro should definitely be on your list. Every roll is extremely flavorful and perfectly balances both Japanese andLatin cuisines! Nothing is super bland (at least the menu items we tried…and we got a LOT), and everything comes out quitequickly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff working there are quite friendly. If you have a question, or askfor their recommendations, they’re happy to explain exactly why they’d choose one menu item over the other. Everything isreasonably-priced, and I just can’t stop talking to people about Maguro. Where else can you find sushi rolls with caramelizedplantains and other ingredients you’d normally only find in Latin foods?! I don’t know of any in the Orlando area! Not tomention their other items on the menu! They’re exceptionally good as well. Bao, different Asian/Latin fusion meats, and manyother things are all worthy of trying. So, if you’re looking for a highly unique type of cuisine unlike anything else you’llfind in this city, look no further than here. It’s really different, and in a really good way. I can’t wait to go back!! Read more

If you like big portions this is not your place! Nothing bothers me more than going to a place with such high expectations and... ending up paying so much money for bland food. Also very misleading that there’s mofongo pictures in their reviews andfotos;that’s why we end up here but we decided to bypass that and stay and eat. We ordered as appetizers miso soup, ropa viejaegg roll and ropa vieja bao buns and they came in the middle of our mains the soup got to our table super super late. Everyonehad finished eating when my husband got his miso soup, and the fried bao bun was absolutely disgusting and greasy.Service wasslow, the plates didn’t arrived all together it was one by one. By the time I finished eating my husband was starting. The sushirolls were so bland specially the Sake quemao’ would not recommend! My daughter ordered 3 golpes it was okay, my husbandordered Jibaro Soy and he didn’t liked it because it was bland,I did enjoyed this one,was the most flavorful sushi roll. Kidsfoods even though there’s not to many options it was delicious;my daughter’s fries and chicken were the highlight of ourexperience here it was super delicious even the fries. Now the mojitos were amazing good price and taste! I would probably govisit them again to try the bowls and the edamame. And maybe some other rolls. Idk Read more

The food was outstanding I had been dying to try it for months now. It exceeded all expectations, I can’t recommend it enough.... Everything was delicious we ordered all of the rolls in their happy hour menu. Our server Sharymar was very attentive and superhelpful with suggestions. The dessert was the coquito cheesecake with passion fruit/cilantro sorbet. Delicious!! Read more

The name of the restaurant is called El Cilantrillo Restaurant. It was a great spot to eat. The food was great and the drinks... was good. The ambiance was also a plus for us. The service was good, the waitress was attentive and she was quick. Read more

If you love Latin and Asian food this is the place to go. Had many things I always like to do that in my 1st visit to make sure... I'm getting to the good stuff. I had the pork belly fried rice which was amazing. Had the ribs as well which were super tenderand tasty. The rolls we had were of shrimp tempura and one had sweet plantains and cream cheese which gave it the perfectbalance of taste. It's a must check out for me an excellent fusion on two great cuisines and the place is super cute. Make areservation if was very busy so I'm glad I did. Read more

It was my friend’s birthday this weekend so we decided to check this place out for dinner all the way from Tampa. We stood at... the entrance for about 10-15 min before someone even acknowledged us. It did look busy so we didn’t make a big deal out of itand the hostess was apologetic. We started out with sake flights which were delicious. The passion fruit flavor was my favorite,so good! All together we both ordered five sushi rolls to try. It took a while for them to come out and for them being“cooked” rolls they were really cold. I also expected a lot more flavor based on the description and it was veryunderwhelmed. The waitress was ok she checked on us a couple times but when I mentioned it was my friends birthday she didn’tseem to care much. I was hoping for at least a happy birthday. All in all if I’m back in Orlando maybe I would stop in to trysomething else but it wouldn’t be my first choice. Read more
