We have been excitedly waiting for this restaurant to open and stopped in for lunch this week. We love Authentic Mexican foods... and are always hopeful. El Potro did not disappoint! The menu is extensive and it was nice to find a place with chile rellenos.Kenyera was our server and was excellent. They served chips and a medium salsa before the meal, and also offered a spicy greensalsa that was delicious. We tried a variety of dishes and everyone was very pleased. They were able to accommodate a dairyallergy and got the order right on the first try. Happy Hour is on Mondays as is 2-4-1 Margaritas. Everyone was so polite. Wecan't wait to go back! Read more

Don Pablo and crew are excellent! Beyond clean and organized. Kitchen is on point, turning out sustainable deliciousness. I like... the taquitos platter (flautas on menu). More than enough for a normal appetite. Chips and salsa are a great starter, but get theextra special cheese dip. It is warm cheese with a light jalapeño flavor (very mild). I would definitely come here again. The price beat La Fiesta on Curry Ford road. The quantity was plenty. The flavor was pretty... good but maybe the chicken could have a little more spices - but I would still order the chimichangas again if they didnt changeanything. The Mexican salad which accompanies the chimichangas is a good size and the beans with cheese have a nice flavor.Chips and salsa are served once you sit and we received the medium salsa which is probably a bit spicy for the majority. You canask for mild salsa which has a sweeter not spicy taste. Read more

The food was very good, but I was incredibly impressed by the exceptional service I received from my waitress Teresa. She made... me feel very welcomed and attended to my table always checking in to make sure the food was good or if I needed anything. Herinteraction was truly such a pleasure. She will be the reason I come back to this establishment specifically. Excellent place to eat and hangout at! Will definitely be back for the authentic food. The staff was super sweet and patient... with our large group (8 adults and 3 kids under 2) who all arrived at different times. The waiter was stupendous, putting allour orders in at the same time, refilling our drinks promptly, and double checking if their was any confusion. The only issue wehad was miscommunication about what was being ordered - I ordered the enchiladas supremas that was supposed to be one of eachcheese, beef, chicken, and bean but what I got was all chicken enchiladas. I've been waiting for this place to open since last year when I saw the sign. They are finally open and hands down the BEST... here in Orlando. Will definitely be back.
