Chili cheese all beef hotdog was really fresh and good. The gentlemen who worked the doghouse/soda fountain were very nice.
It's a well decorated restaurant with a variety of hotdogs and reasonable prices. Customer service is excellent. They also have... an ice cream bar on the other side. Don't forget to tip the people who take your orders and make them ???? Read more
Was very excited to try this place. A coworker had recommended a few weeks back and I was excited to finally give it a... try! There are a few things that I really liked about the place. First of all, I'm not sure if it is a locally owned place, butit has the feel. I enjoy supporting local businesses. With that said, the menu layout is probably my most favorite part of theplace. Don't get me wrong, there are other things I liked. The hot dog was good, and the options are very unique and fun. Mybiggest gripe has to be the price, as my picture below cost me $13. I understand the costs are going up, but it is still quiteexpensive for a hotdog and tots. It was an averaged sized hot dog, tasty meat, and fun toppings on an okay bun. The tots lookedmore like mayonnaise was squirted on it with a bit of garlic and parmesan cheese, not a mixed concoction of tastiness. It wasgood, but not worth the cost. As such, I wanted to give 5 stars to support a local business, but the price just does not makesense for what you are getting. I'd pay $8 to $10 for what I actually got. Read more
Have been meaning to try this place for a while and finally decided to pop in and try them out, ordered the tsunami for myself... with the urban tots and my mom got the chili dog without onions and she had the bacon tots. First thing wrong was that theystill put the onions on and my mom had to scrape them off loosing most of the cheese on the dog. I asked for some more and gotsome but still. Second thing was also for her order was that the bacon was practically raw on her tots. Now that the problemswere addressed now on to the meat and potatoes the food itself. The hot dogs were ok themselves and the bun was just a simplebun that you could buy from Publix or something, that?s cool and all but for the price I kind of expected something unique. Onthe bright side they did have many unique flavors and combinations of hot dogs and tots and ultimately I?d have to come again totruly see the full experience. However I do not think I will due to the poor impression left upon me and my mother and I do notrecommend coming here just get some stuff at your local grocery store and you can probably do it better for cheaper andquicker. My favorite new hot dog place. Chicago dog was great. Nice flavor with the hotdogs. Will be going back again.
I got the Chicago dog and pizza tots both were delicious! It?s a small shop so not much seating but luckily when I went it... wasn?t crowded I?m surprised for a weekend! Very cute restaurant. I paid just under $6 for a beef hotdog (including the 15 cents card transaction fee) + toppings (25... cents). The staff member was nice but it seems he?s running the restaurant alone, so the lack of additional staff (this wasduring lunchtime at 12:45pm) at a peak hour means you may wait a few minutes. Also, this place shares a space with the icecream shop. The Doghouse employee works both sides. Parking is a little tight in the back but there is shared street parkingnear the other businesses. Seating is arranged for 1-2 people per party; there aren?t areas for a larger group except for 4stools directly at the bar area that separates the Doghouse from the Ice cream place. My experience felt more 4 stars but Isuspect it was impacted by the sick customer who was inside sneezing and coughing nearby (gross ? stay home). I rounded myexperience to 5 stars since i couldn?t even think of anything objectively negative about the restaurant except that I wish therewas more than 1 staff member. Read more
