We were being seated by a new staff member. Who was very kind. We were seated at a table literally in the centre of a lot of... tables. We asked to be moved, as sitting there with a 16 month old would mean he would be distracted with everyone. The younglady moved us, and a very rude older server said to her ?absolutely not. Nope? and we asked to not be in the centre. The younglady called over another older server who explained it was a fire hazard. We understand this. We asked to not sit in the middleof a cluster of tables because of the infant and we?re promptly told ?every other seating option was taken? meanwhile there werecountless empty tables we walked by. I understand it was 1.5 hours from close, but it?s a shame that customers choices aren?teven considered. Won?t be returning. Read more
Tonight we waited 25 minutes to be seated and another 30 mins to get our food. Gave our order as soon as we sat down. Ceasar... salad was mostly croutons. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks and got the wrong drinks when they arrived. Finally got ourmeal but no chalet sauce as apparently they ran out but they were making more. (One meal was wrong too) When the sauce arrivedit was barely enough to warm our already cold meal. No offer to refill our drinks ...oh boy what a memorable dinner, or morelike I'll remember this the next time I feel like Swiss Chalet, I'll head to barrie as that location is worth the extra drive. I was hung up on numerous times. The lady was extremely rude and short with me. She answered and told me they we too busy and... how her staff was there since the morning and they were going home early then preceded to hang up on me. I don?t know how that?smy problem. Update on this review October 26/22: Even after Swiss chalet replied to this as you can see below and requested detailed... information from my receipt, to this day not one form of communication. Now you know why they are closing down andrapidly!! Original post: Horrible experience. Firstly, when arrived there was an older female waitress on break sitting at thetop section listening to her phone so loudly. A couple next to us were just as frustrated as us. We ordered Caesar salads, whichcame half full. The salads I believe are $6.99 now, at least fill the plates. See picture included! One salad was warm, whichwas strange. Our perogies came with sour cream, although we asked for the cajen sour cream and the waitress insisted it was - ITWAS NOT! We?ve been frequenting Swiss Chalet?s for over 20 years and this was not our usual Swiss. Chalet experience. Then ourchicken came out pink, we sent it back to get another chicken that was more pink. Pictures attached, zoom in!! We sent thesecond order back and they had the nerve to not remove the full entree even though we didn?t eat the side that came with it.They should have credited us more, but still charged us the app that came with the meal. This was all with dealing with themanager! Had I known I would have tipped $0. If you can make the trip, visit any Barrie location.
