I spent a week in orient. I found this place next to the post office. The food was delicious. The owners a friendly Frenchman... and wonderful Chinese lady from Brooklyn, are a crazy as a mix of dumplings and Gelato. Very good people I wish them well. It'stoo bad there landlord is a stereotypical new york ahole and is trying to push them out of business. This place represents whatAmerica is all about. I HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON. Read more

I had an awful experience here because we were badly treated by an Asian lady in this restaurant. My 4 year old wanted ice cream... while we were in beach nearby so we went there. When we parked, my just potty trained kid said he also wanted to use potty, sowe entered the door and asked a white young lady if my kid can use the bathroom and the kind young lady said yes. That?s whenthat Asian lady started her attitude. My kid even got nervous and cried while sitting on potty and asked my husband if somethingwas wrong. I ordered two scoops of ice cream and she looked not happy at all. I saw the lady rolling her eyes, shaking her head, shrugging her shoulder, asking why it takes so long and why my kid is crying in bathroom. My kid looked very upset and terrified when walking out the bathroom. I don?t know what?s her problem and why she had such an attitude to a small kid.Lastly, the expensive ice cream is even not worth the $ at all. So terrible!! Very very bad experience!! If you don?t expect tospend more than $10 there and might have a chance using their bathroom, don?t go there! Read more

Absolutely fantastic food at a really cute restaurant in the middle of a neighborhood!!! We got the chicken pan fried dumplings... and a scallion pancake. Both were incredible. Very home-cooked style food. They have lots of Asian fare (and gelato as well!). Iwish I took pictures of the food before I devoured it. Quick service, feels like the type of place that should be much morepopular. If you want some Asian home style food on the North Fork, don?t look anywhere else. Read more

Sweet people who work there my good and ice cream were good. Only suggestion I would have for the owners would be to get newer... chairs. Also just walking around the area is pleasent and quiet Read more

Really really good. Char siu bao was lightly sweet with a nice filling, the chicken dumplings were very tasty, and the gelato... was excellent (tried the mint chip, salted caramel, and black sesame). Read more

Found this little gem while biking through Orient and had the best salad I?ve had this year! I didn?t get a gelato or sorbet,... but the black fig flavor of the day almost convinced me. Almond cake, scones, dumplings, scallion pancakes, crepes,lavender-infused lemonade! Swoon! I can?t wait to go back and try more. Read more
