I LOVE the flavor options here. But the ?snow? (ice) is seriously SO TERRIBLE. When you think of a ?snow? cone you think of nice... fluffy shaved ice. Unfortunately that is not what you get here. You get chunky ice that you get to crunch down on when eating.The only reason I go back is for a specific flavor I can?t find anywhere else. They used to be great! At the bottom of one of our snow cones we found a big fly/mosquito. I was in the car the entire time so not stoked to find... that after eating 80%. Clean it up over here before you serve bugs please. Def ruined my evening treat and made my stomachhurt thinking about what else I just had in that. Read more
The new owners are wrecking this place. My family has frequented the shack for years, and we've never had such bad experiences.... I?ve seen them hover over their employees, belittle teenage girls, and micromanage everyone. I saw them pull someone out of theshack to berate and fire them in front of customers and their children. After talking to several employees, it's pretty clearthat the new owners aren't paying their employees for all the hours they work and that they're breaking a slew of labor lawswith a staff of minors. On top of everything, they haven't maintained the quality we fell in love with under the last owners.Very, very disappointing in the new direction and even more disgusted with the way the employees are treated. With a little help could be a 5 Flavors: 4/5 Good enough selection, really likes that there wasn't really hokey names based on... pop icons, just clean and simple menu. The specialities are great flavor combos. Loved the option of coconut milk. Didn't trythe marshmallow fluff but seems unique. Ice: 2/5 Rough cut ice, not as good as other options in the Valley. I'm being picky,you'll still enjoy this snow cone, I promise. It's just not snow. It's rough cut shaved ice. Atmosphere/Availability: 3/5 Easyto find, right next to the pool, that location makes it great if you're already at the pool. It was quite dirty when I wentthere, albeit it was near closing hours. On that now, they close at 9 which, is mostly acceptable but not as great as other snowshacks in the area. It's right next to a busy road, which is annoying, but to be honest, almost all of themare. Others Staff: Seemed friendly, kind and have a great style, the asthetics of the whole shop are cute and simple; notpushing the faux tropical feel, just simple for the area. Longer hours and fiber cut ice would easily make this one of the bestin town. Price: Probably it's best feature, worth coming here for this alone. They start out with a "Mini" option at 75 cents,great for kids. All the way up to a Jumbo a 5$ which is sizeable and something to share. This place is great!! I got the wizard the other day and it totally has a similar taste to butter beer from Harry Potter world!... Super friendly staff and clean area to enjoy your snow cone. Definitely coming back! Read more
This is hands down the BEST shaved ice in Orem. My dad took me here as a kid and now I take my kids. We love it!!!! Seriously,... my only complaint is that they don't open until the end of May. If they opened, even half days, in April that would be amazing! Read more
The flavors are good and the workers are nice. But I?m sorry .75 for the saddest little drizzle of cream is insane. Half my ice... was super chunky and the other have fine and what you would expect for a sno cone so not sure if they were just having issueswith the machine today. Read more
