I don?t review stuff ever because most people are here to complain but it was really bad?.so here I am to complain*(Customer... service was fine)*? Chicken was dry, rice was crazy over cooked and I had 2 tiny pieces of andouille in my jambalaya . Hope Icaught them on an off day and I?ll give it another try because I love chicken and andouille jambalaya and was excited to get itin town. Read more

Just had the Alligator Po-boy? would give it 6 stars if I could. Beautifully fried, succulent and TASTY! Got Red beans and rice... side, but wish I?d ordered the slaw since it?s 95* out, but since it?s so delicious I?m not regretting anything! Read more

First time coming here today and I don't get what all the bad reviews are about. Portland has some incredibly bland food and... even more so with BBQ, but this place is genuinely good. It has a home-cooked taste and doesn't leave you feeling sluggish eventhough it's fried. Maw Maw is great and even the cooks are too. Ignore the snarky reviewers and definitely give this place ashot. This was our first time coming here. Ordered the catfish platter and it was very flavorful, hot, and crispy. The potato salad... was the best I've ever had and the mustard greens tasted rich. The owner was nice and funny. You can tell a lot of care andpassion goes into their business. Highly recommend! Read more

Still waiting on an elephant ear 20 minutes after ordering with only one person in front of me. Also charging a surcharge if you... use your debit card. 6 dollar elephant ear, so far not worth my time. Read more

I'm not usually the type to write somebody a bad review, but this place really gets on my nerves and it keeps happening over and... over. Honestly the worst customer service out of any food place I've been to ever in my life. Third time is a charm for me. IJust stood in the front of the line with 4 other groups behind me for almost 20 minutes after being told to hold on for oneminute. Nobody helped me and once again completely ignored as a friendly paying customer. Super frustrating when you want foodmade at a normal speed because you are on a timed lunch break from work and of course its wrong of me to expect normal serviceor someone wanting to actually work. All this stress over an elephant ear? Ill pass. Lost a customer for life here. Hopefullythis place leaves the food cart area because ive heard alot of other bad experiences from friends here as well. Good Cajun food cart at the Corner 14 food cart pod. I ordered the combo plate to get a sample of everything. Food was all good.... Pro tip - pour the gumbo on the jambalaya and mix in some extra hot sauce...BOOM! Cajun heaven. Fast and friendly service. Read more

Posting 2 people's orders: Jambalaya(my primary visit want) was a minimum 15 minute delay, so I was unable to order in the time... avbl. This and recent weather heat are most likely part of why it is advised to call in orders before arriving. Cashier hasoption for paper receipt, but only told no paper after choosing this option on payment screen. Forced to have receipt texted ore-mailed to me or have no receipt. Fried Catfish Po'Boy was bland with mayo and had no remoulade sauce to view or taste.Pickles were spiced(spicy) pickles and few thin slices. The chosen Potato Salad side is not fresh made and pretty clearly bytaste is Reser's Original Potato Salad. Nowhere near a "Cajun" style potato salad as one might think. My partner described theCatfish itself, that I did not taste, as "tough" and "most likely heated from frozen." Chicken Gumbo was very plain with someshredded chicken chunks and definitely not Andouille flavored. Tasted like warmed over name-brand(think mmm-mmm good...) soup. Some basic Andouille Sausage would at least add something to this dish, but alas is not there. Packaging/container(see picture)was completely different than what is pictured as display on the cart as a black bowl. This is a to-go cup to be poured into abowl. Not a bowl to sit down at a table with. Prices would be moderate if food tasted "cajun," but as such I would say isslightly over-priced. With other, seemingly better, options available at Corner 14, this cart will not be visited again. Andthat IS unfortunate. Read more
