The dinner was absolutely delicious. We had their dinner special for 2 and it was very affordable. The view out the window was... beautiful and the dining area is really spacious with white table cloths. By far it was the best meal we have had .... as goodas fried food is, it's good to take a break from it. We ordered their steak and Jambalaya and layered chocolate cake. This is the kind of place that makes everything taste good. Order what you're in the mood for - you wont be disappointed. I... ordered surf and turf...Lobster was a little small but perctly cooked. My filet was also cooked perfect (rare - seared onoutside warm/red on inside.) They might use a light marinade. Definitely real butter! Incredibly nice servers in a nice upscaleenvironment. The staff took care... of us from the moment we walked through the door, throughout the night, all the way until our evening was over. I've traveled the world for work, and ate my way through many countries. Louisiana Lagniappe was a restaurant I fell in love... with in Baton Rouge and promised myself I would go back someday. Imagine my surprise when my husband picked it for dinner duringour vacation in Gulf Shores! I didn't even know they had a location here. Got the oyster lagniappe and fried eggplant for apps,cajun pasta and the tenderloin for main, then a creme bruelee for dessert. We were miserably stuffed but so very happy. Ittasted exactly like the one in Baton Rouge, which was awesome to know as now I want to go try the destin location!! Highlyrecommend for anyone nearby, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Overall good experience. Food was good but expect to pay high prices. I did appreciate the amount of food you get for the price... though. I got a ribeye and it was cooked exactly how I asked and the flavor was decent. Not the best I've had (Voyagers ribeyeis better in my opinion). Holy smokes this place is amazing!! We made reservations 48hrs in advance and were seated right away. We had a great view of... the boats on the dock which the young ones loved. Started with a virgin piña colada myself and hubby had the old fashion -both were beyond excellent!! Kiddos basically stole my drink so I had to order a second one. We started with some crab cakesfor our appetizer which was good but I feel like the ones at Cosmo’s tasted better. They were still good though. Our housesalads were great but slightly too heavy on the dressing. But it did taste fresh. I had the bayou grouper which was so stinkinggood. Just the right amount of crispy and buttery. The crab meat on top was super yummy. The shrimp was a bit fishy but stillenjoyable. Hubby had the ribeye which he enjoyed very much. Kiddos had the grilled cheese and cheeseburger and they were happy.The fries were actually quite good. We were treated with a key lime pie on the house for my birthday and it was subLIME. This place was amazing. We were actually quite full prior to coming. However we managed to finish our entire meal it was so... good. Hush puppies for appetizer are delicious.
