Yesterday, my niece, Natalie brought me to ?Yam Good Pies?. Bc of the virus, there?s a nice walk up window and the customer... wears a mask? She told me I was in for a TREAT! Was she ever right! I have been staying with Natalie & her husband, Kendrickfrom September 2, until September 10. I live in Hammond, Hurricane Ida really destroyed a lot in this area. We finally got poweryesterday, thanks to the tireless efforts from Entergy & many States that came to help. I have been treated like royalty and inmy 9 day stay have probably gained 10 pounds. I was sent home with a lemon, a sweet potato, a custard & an apple pie, lastevening. There isn?t a crumb left, I ate every last bite by myself. I only wish I had ordered some of her ?Sweet Tea Cakes? Yam Country Pies has the BEST pie turnovers ever!!!! I've ordered a few tarts and turnovers and I've ordered MANY MANY tarts... and turnover. Every tart and turnover was delicious from the first bite to the last bite. And the staff was awesome!!!! Imake the 2 hour drive just for Yam Country Pies!!!
