This was my first time visiting this establishment. I always worry about the atmosphere because I have a small child and some... places just aren't that great for small children but this place wasn't bad. The staff was very friendly and I really appreciatedgetting into a restaurant on a Sunday. Most places are crowded with the after church crowds but this place was a hidden jewel.We made a reservation which I recommend because it wasn't super spacious but I like to think that also added to its appeal. Anice place to grab a quick bite with super nice folk to help you. My kiddo got the pancake which was super cute how they dressedit up. I had the grilled chicken sandwich which was excellent. Not too many people do a chicken breast well so I'm usually warybut they nailed it. And their bananas in pajamas were very tasty with a nice crunch. I don't remember what the dipping sauce wasbut it complemented it. Not sweet enough for my taste but still very good. I'd get it again. My sister got the shrimp and gritsand i remember her remarking that 'they're the only ones she's had in town that aren't spicey' in case this is a detail thatwould be useful to you. This was one of the best breakfast I've had in a while. The food was extremely good. I was glad to finally have shrimp & grits... that weren't so hot i could eat them without coughing. The pancakes are as big as the plates and the drinks were good. Ourperson was Jackie and she was phenomenal. Very very attentive & very helpful with her suggestions since we had never eaten therebefore. The lady who greeted and sat us was nice as well. We will definitely return!!! Read more
Started off with the beignets with chocolate sauce. Beignets had a nice flakey crispy texture with the right amount of powdered... sugar. The chocolate sauce is good, but I didn't need it. The three cheese and ham omelette was very fluffy with a generousamount of ham. The hash browns were decent. Lightly seasoned with salt. The southwest burger had a lot going on with it. Inhouse patties, chorizo, jalapeno, avocado pepper jack cheese, and Sriracha aioli. Good burger with a very nice heat. More heatflavor then burger flavor if you get what I mean. The fries were my favorite part of the meal. Crunchy and seasoned toperfection. Overall good food. The reason it got three stars is the mistake they made on our order. Our food was given toanother table before ours and it took longer than I expected. Three tables after us got there good before ours. Theyacknowledge the mistake, but overall good food. Read more
A couple of things that could have been better. Table needed whipping off, the cook forgot ham in the omelette and hollandaise... sauce! That having been mentioned, the food was excellent! For starters, this restaurant is clean and has a nice vibe. Our server, Jackie, was so incredibly friendly and attentive. We had... a great time chatting with her and ordering some of her recommendations from the menu. The food was delicious!! Lots of flavor.Fresh. Just fabulous. And the coffee was great (especially the Irish Coffee ??). Our sweet server even blessed us with acomplimentary order of beignet’s as an anniversary gift.
