We had a late dinner at the Lee Highway location Friday night the 28th of October. We had to wait on the limited staff to clean... a table. Our server had a terrible dental problem and what seemed to be little training. She left our table so wet we needed abath towel to dry it. The only other server was in bad shape with a terrible injury on left hand. He was vaping right in frontof us behind the counter. It seemed to be OK as he was not trying to hide it or even be discrete. Left his vape device right onthe counter in front of the bread toaster. Quite alarming as he would blow out huge blast of smoke right over the waffle makersand toasters. The cook seemed to be wound up so tight his face was twisting in all directions. Service depends on the experience of the 2-3 people on shift. There's no real consistency that I've seen over the last few years... at this location. Food quality also relates back to the experience of the person on the grill. Sometimes they are only a coupleof days in. Atmosphere really just depends on the occupancy of the Motel 6 next door. I?m a fan of Waffle House as it is typically very clean, the service is fast and the food comes out steaming hot. This location... is no exception. I had the blueberry waffle, which is very good. Although the blueberries were a little clumped together andcould have been mixed better. This location is on a busy corner in Ooltewah where you can watch all kinds of cars, trucks, andmotorcycles, which keeps the grandson entertained. You can even see Miller Industries test driving a new diesel now and again.The team here is efficient and friendly, with plenty of parking. Breakfast for 3 people without tip came to $23. The waitress never even walked over to our table. We waited 30 minutes for no service. We were called racist remarks (mumbled to... other coworker) as we walked out without any service. Will not be back ever. The waitress had long black hair. I don?t expectmuch from Waffle House, but this is beyond repair. Do not venture to this location if you are a person of color or are withpeople of color. They will not even attempt to notice you. Read more
The grits were so watered down the waitresses had to try and strain them.???????? Thank goodness they didn't charge me.????
they completely messed up my order then refused to correct bc I came in 3 days later. even tho I had photos and the ticket photo... as evidence. she said I waited too long to come back. smh call me crazy but 3 days isn't 3 dang mths. Read more
