This is a older building with limited waiting area. This time they didn't have french fries to go with my cheeseburger. So I... just had a plain cheeseburger. :( Just double check your food if you order well done. My burger was under cooked. They did fixit for me. Heard about this place on Talk Radio 102.3 and I was not disappointed. The food was fresh and plentiful. Hubby got the fried... trout and he loved it. I had the regular size burger and took half home it was just too much! Friendly staff. Worth the drive for fresh county food! Read more

You know when you walk into a restaurant and it's buzzing with activity, and you just know it's going to be great? That's how I... felt when entering Countryside Cafe. Unfortunately, that did not play out for us. The wedge salad with blue cheese crumbles,bacon and tomatoes was very good with crispy smoked bacon and huge crumbles. The fried flounder was heavily breaded and dry. Mymother's spaghetti actually had water in the bottom as though they forgot to drain it before putting on the sauce. They forgotto bring her side dish. My granddaughter had the chicken tenders, which were very meaty and tender and she declared them good..The onion rings, tho, were dripping with grease. Our server appeared to be serving nearly the entire restaurant and did not havetime to check back on us at all. Perhaps a staffing shortage is impacting quality. Worst experience I?ve ever had here. If I could give 1 star I would. The chicken tenders was so hard I couldn?t bite them, the... macaroni and cheese was watered down- minus the cheese, the skillet fried sweet potatoes wasn?t skillet fried more like freshout of a can and stone cold. Really liked this little spot. I had the pork chops and other than having to salt them myself they were very well cooked. The... sides are where this restaurant does the best in my opinion. Way better than cracker barrel. Read more
