Reviews for Orsi's Italian Bakery & Pizzeria in Omaha, NE
Found this Omaha landmark pizzaria on Google and tool the chance to try out and I was glad I did. Italian heritage up for... display the moment you walk into the establishment. I found myself reading the many stories connected with the pizzaria on thewall. Service was friendly. Ordered a pizza and it was good. Taste like homemade and not greasy like the typical franchiselocations. Not really a fan of the garlic bread it came with although a nice unexpected touch. You need to checkout thewonderful mural created South Omaha Murals. What a wonderful recognition of the local culture. Read more
This was an interesting experience. I expected a full service restaurant, but found out it was more of a store where you order... pickup, to go, or groceries. We asked about eating in and they informed us they have these tables they can set up next to thebench. So it is technically a dine in restaurant. The pricing here is fair. The sizes of the pizza were generous. It lookedlike Detroit style pizza to me, served in rectangles. The people working felt more like a family vibe and they were veryfriendly and casual. Parking is available on the street for free. I took a photo of the parking area next to the building. Weordered the garlic cheese bread and a sheet pizza that we got split into two different toppings. I went with a mostlyvegetarian, so we didn't get meat options which is what I'd normally try. I did like the cream cheese addition. That was a nicetouch. I'd like to go back and try more options. Hopefully find myself that 5 star combination. Read more

I'll give the place 5 stars for the service, and Italian roots. I think there are room for improvements. I tried the quarter... sheet of pizza. Single topping Italian sausage. The sausage was very good, but browned until quite small. Also. The meat wasunder the cheese which I found to be unique. I have been to Italy 3 times. This is definitely a family style recipe. Thecrust reminded me of Italian baked pizza (not wood fired). We also tried the Cannoli's. The pastry was delicious. The perfectamount of crunch and flavor without being burnt. The vanilla filling could have more of a ricotta taste, to me it tasted morelike a Bavarian creme you would get in a donut. Bonus is they sell tipo 00 flour by the 4 lb bag. This flour is a must formaking any style of pizza crust. Didn't get a chance to buy any bread but it smelled good! Read more
Friendly owner and staff who take pride in their food. The Italian sausage pizza and garlic bread was amazing, seasoned well,... and with just the right amount of chew. They were kind enough to unfold a table so we could have lunch inside. We'll definitelybe back! Read more
Great service. You can really tell that they care about the customers. I saw one of the young employees walk out in the cold... wearing shorts and a t-shirt helping a guy carry his order to the car. The owner was awesome for giving me free garlic breadjust for being a first time customer. I'm a fat guy with a big appetite, I got the medium size (quarter sheet) for myself andit was plenty food to get me full. Two regular skinny people will be fine with a medium. They have a loyal fan base and you cansee why. They close early though so keep that in mind. Read more
