Reviews for Ika San Ramen in Omaha, NE
The food is absolutely amazing! The Ramen they made is very tasty and creative. The Fuego ramen is what I ordered. Also, it?s... an adventure trying to find the restaurant though lol?they are in a little lane, and it?s not easy to find. Read more

I never had ?salmon sausage? but it was great! We had two ramen dishes, great quality and fair prices.
Summary: apparently all the money has been invested in making the place look pretty, with little left over to actually make the... food taste good. The food appears to be what the menu calls it in name only. It goes to show that you can name a dish anythingyou want, and it barely requires a passing semblance to it. While the visual aesthetic of the restaurant was interesting, andthe staff attentive, it was hard to hear them say anything over the loud pounding music. As a matter of fact, when I walked in,I couldn't even hear the host come up behind me and ask if I'd like to be seated. The rice in the "oyakudonburi" wasundercooked and crunchy, in the entirety of it was covered in a spicy mayo that made it oily and unpleasant. The flavor was allmuddled up, and it was a bit of a chore to eat (I say "eat", but I mean consume for the sake of sustenance, not pleasure). The"yakitori" consisted of small, flaccid pieces of chicken with no flavor of their own. A sweet American style teriyaki sauce wasdrizzled all over it and the water logged pieces of green onion it rested on. One has to wonder how many days ago those onionswere prepared. These kinds of skewers are supposed to be grilled, however there was no texture or char marks to indicate thatthe meat had been cooked that way. I'm sure there's a segment of the population that will find this place enjoyable, but Icannot in good conscience recommend this to anybody I know. The staff seemed kind enough though, so I can't say that it was alltogether a terrible experience. Read more
The kids requested Ramen for lunch and Google maps brought us here. No complaints to that! We all enjoyed our meals and the... atmosphere brought us to Japan. We had a soft shell crab roll for an appetizer. There wasn't enough, we all wanted more. Thekids enjoyed the crunches on top. I had the Mary Jane. The cilantro wasn't overwhelming. The grilled chicken was tasty andplentiful. The vegetables and noodles were delicious. Kiddos had the Fuego and the Miso. Neither complained and enjoyed thereramen. Read more
Nice place. Good food. The ambience is more towards the younger generation. It's slightly loud but lively. The food was surely... good. I'm not someone who enjoys peanut flavor but the hot nods /noodles under the shareables was really good. A bit spicy butthe good kind. The spice hits you but doesn't linger. We Loved it Read more
For context: I?ve been vegan for 5 years, I go out to eat frequently. I?ve eaten at each location numerous times throughout the... years and have felt that they?re each going downhill as far as quality of both staffing and food. I have never been served meatin a dish that was supposed to be 100% vegan. Yet somehow meat ended up in my ramen. The server didn?t check on us for over 30minutes after receiving our food. I understand mistakes happen, but the kitchen clearly needs some serious retraining andadjustments made if a mistake like that is not only able to occur but also make its way to a customers table without beingdouble checked by the kitchen and/or the server.
