I get the impression that this place used to be way more popular back at its old location. The food was fine and the employees... were nice, but it's really expensive. I'm from Georgia and miss southern food, but $27 for a 2 piece chicken plate with 1 sideof collard greens, tea, and sweet potato pie is pretty expensive, especially considering it's counter service, not even a sitdown place. $3.50 for a small, sticky cup of sweet tea with no refills is silly. The location is hidden on the second floor of aweird auxiliary food court for a satellite campus of Creighton. There aren't even napkins readily available in the space, andthere's sports blasting loudly on the tvs in there. It felt like a gentrified husk of what the old pictures show it used to be.There was hardly anyone in there despite it being peak lunchtime on a Saturday. I really, really wanted to like it. Food was amazing!! I tasted the love and soul that was added to this flavorful chicken. My absolute favorite was the Mac and... cheese! Do yourself a favor and get the Mac and cheese.
