Overall, very disappointing. I came early when they hadn't been open very long, so I can't imagine they were terribly busy. The... workers were gruff and seemed unhappy. I ordered the "Classic," a waffle with fried chicken. The food took a long time, and Ididn't see any other customers. The "maple syrup" that the meal came with is 100% not real maple syrup. More like high fructosecorn syrup with maple flavoring. It was thick and unappetizing. I would have maybe enjoyed it as a young child. And in any othercity, maybe this would be fine. But Olympia is very health-conscious place, and in general when you get a meal around here itdoesn't feel like eating junk food. I really wanted to enjoy this place more, and maybe some of their other selections arebetter, but there are plenty of other places in town where the food is reliable and they'll greet you with a smile. The coffeewas pretty good. Read more

Unfortunately the pictures looked way better than the food during my visit. Perhaps it was an off day when my wife and I stopped... by to get a breakfast waffle and a chicken and waffle. My first issue, It was not a busy day maybe 2 or 3 other families presentand somehow the food was cold except for the fried chicken. Second issue the chicken was extremely burned or the oil was dirtyand it got stuck to the chicken which made the breading very hard to eat. Waffle was ok but I bet much better if warm. Thebreakfast waffle had a good flavor mix but like mentioned above it was cold. Read more

Today is my brothers 16th birthday and he loves Belgium waffles! We are visiting from Wisconsin and enjoy trying new places.... This place came highly recommended so we gave it a try. Unfortunately, the individual working had a poor attitude and came offquite rude. And we were the only people there so she wasn?t necessarily busy. Our waffles were also extremely disappointing. Weordered 5 waffles and they were all very dry and hard. Something tasted off with the batter and they were for sure over cooked. It shouldn?t hurt your mouth to bite into a waffle and they weren?t even cut-able. We honestly ended up throwing a lot of thewaffles out and ordering tacos from the food truck next to it. I?m always willing to try places more than once, in case theworkers are having an off day, because that doesn?t represent the food quality on a normal day. But due to the workers attitude, our money will be spent elsewhere. I hope nobody else experiences this because I truly enjoy supporting small businesses. Read more

Excellent coffee. Excellent waffles, crispy and fluffy, high quality bacon and eggs. Perfect stop for an all round breakfast

Came here because a friend recommended this place. Except for the classic chicken waffle, the two other waffles we ordered were... overly done (bordering burnt). Needless to say, we were quite disappointed. Read more

although there were a lot of good reviews on here there were some not so stellar that almost!! put me off trying this place.... Soooo glad I went to experience it myself. Very cold out this morning but our waffles were warm and absolute perfection!!! Weordered the Strawberry Compote sheesh that was amazing!! and the breakfast with eggs, bacon, and aioli sauce w a sprinkle ofchives c?monnn that was gorgeous five star! We tried the mocha and yess that was a delicious cup of coffee. They tell you howlong it will take and it is just right. We live in Oregon 2.5 hours away but man I would be taking my fam here every weekend ifI could.Thank you to the employees you did amazing :) Read more

My wife and I have been frequenting the Northwest Beerwerks beer garden for about four years (finally... a timeframe I can... reference that doesn't make me seem that old). Throughout this time we've fallen in love with Boka Island Fusion, another foodtruck at this pod, and have eaten there on many an occasion. About two years ago we couldn't help but notice this pretty newpale yellow truck inserted in the back of the pod. A little hard to find if you're just driving by, though certainly alluring. This truck was closed at the time as this was particular visit was a little later in the evening. We read the name, "honeycuspe- fine belgian waffles and espresso". Instantly we were intrigued and ready to try. We made a plan to come back the next morningand see what honeycuspe (pronounced with a lowercase "h") is all about. Well, those plans didn't really end up working - weslept in and forgot. Next time we were at the Northwest Beerwerks food truck pod, we rediscovered this place and planned againto come back the next morning and give honeycuspe a try. Well folks, we slept in again. And again. Repeat for two years untilyesterday we were driving back from the vet (just a check up, Shaggy's fine) and incidentally drove right past this truck. Finally we were A.) not sleeping and B.) here while honeycuspe was C.) open. Two years in the making! (not including active preptime). This could not have been a more pleasant experience. The person who took our order was delightful and we had a littlechat about our dogs - even got a little treat for him on the house. Food came out in about 20 minutes which was very impressiveconsidering the long line they had accrued. I ordered the "Breafkast (sic)" and my wife the "Classic" chicken and waffles.First, I must say the Breafkast waffle was hands down one of the best breakfast items I've had to date. Eggs cooked perfectly tomy specification, wonderful sweetness of the bacon and smoked aioli all in a happy marriage with the waff Read more
