I?ve only went to this place 2 times in my life so to each their own, it?s up to you whether to mark my words or not. First of... all, I was very excited when I heard this place being built. Thinking I?d finally be able to enjoy some food far from homecountry. I mean no offense to saying this but the flavor in my opinion has been heavily ?Americanized?. Although the flavor maybe unique to those living in Olney, as someone who used to eat these types of food on the regular, it confused my tastebuds. Although the dishes look similar, the taste I?ve tasted was unfamiliar compared to what I?ve had before. Now I don?t knowif it?s because of how it was prepared or ingredients from a foreign country drastically changes it but I was disappointed. 3of us went for dinner there and ended up having to pay ~$50-60? Excluding the tip as well. Oh not to mention none of the staffsI listened to were speaking Japanese but rather Mandarin . I only knew because the time we went for dinner there it was mostlyempty so they were chattering which I don?t blame however I recognized it was Mandarin they were speaking in. As well asembarrassing myself a bit because I spoke to the waiter in Japanese but could not comprehend. Only to follow with ?Sorry, Im notJapanese?. Not that I was upset towards the waiter. A Japanese restaurant ran by not a single Japanese, the overpricing for itstastes I did not expect, and horrible customer service are my reasons why I?ve rated it low. A bit odd for a ?Japanesesteakhouse? I thought. Read more

We stumbled upon this place by chance and google claimed it was closed even though their doors were open, but we were very glad... we decided to look anyway. Very pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. The only issue Ihad was that the bathroom didn't lock. There's a lot to love about this place, and I highly recommend it. Read more

Food here is excellent! They always work with our requests for no pork or shellfish, and when I was pregnant they whipped up... some special sushi with cooked chicken and beef instead of raw fish (which I do like!). Amy serves as best as she can withlittle help, if any. It's a lot to manage! I noticed there are several poor reviews about her but once you get to know her youwill see she is a super nice and generous lady! Most often what we here in America perceive as rudeness is just a culturaldifference in emotional expression, and that is the case here. Please give them a try! You won't regret it! Read more

Service here not going to lie wasn?t the worst I?ve had but very unprofessional. Table, floor and restroom dirty. Lack of... attentiveness from both waiters and attitude, but coming from a place were if you give me that energy bet yo mama im giving itright back. Im sure the waiters communicate and talk about the customer because that was the vibe I got from this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best but nothing to be aww and wanting to go back for more. My wife took me for my birthday and for herI ate the food as appreciation and had to control my impulse from wanting to say something to the waiter with a smirk on hisface every time he looked at our table. If you want good ?Japanese? food. I recommend the Walmart next door. Read more

We love the food. It is always very flavorful. It's not always hot but it's always good. The service is tremendously... horrible. She is unattentive and rude. The first time, I thought maybe she was just having a bad day but she is like thiseverytime. Maybe next time? 5 stars for the food today, half star for service since she did show up. Read more
