Our stay was fantastic. We stayed in one of the apartments down the road from the lodge. Crew at the check in did a great job of... giving us all we need know. Now we booked the 8 hr Goulding tour for the next day and was fantastic. Our native guide and driverwas Henry. He was very informative about the sites we visited( many more than if you driving your self)and also stories andinformation about his culture. The equipment is very and lunch that is included was very good. Will do it again. FYI. If sandand dust bothers you bring a good dust mask. Sand on the back roads is very fine. Read more

Wonderful room, they accepted our two small dogs without excessive deposit. The room was large and lovely and CLEAN!!!! ... Excellent food at the restaurant on site, the museum is lovely and well done, don't forget to leave a nice tip!! They have afew "movie props" to be able to take a picture or two. The scenery is breathtaking. Our tour guide, Billy, was so informativeand helpful!!! The gift shop was lovely with lots of different things to choose from. I couldn't believe how fast our timewent, after 2 days and nights, sad to leave. I would highly recommend and definitely think about going to again!!! 10 stars eventhough 5 was the highest! Really excellent place to stay!!!!! Read more

This is a Navajo Tribal hotel and has a restaurant and gift shop nearby. We stayed in the typical rooms. It has a small indoor... pool that is not heated but there are plenty of towels. The rooms are fairly clean and a little dated but not too bad. I wishthe cleanliness would have been a little better (I accidentally dropped a bar of wet soap on the floor and I picked it up withlots of hairs attached to it). Lots and lots of good hot water. No room service (as usual in many other places as companies tryto cut costs but keep their prices the same or higher). Each room has a beautiful view of Monument Valley. A gas station andsmall grocery store is also nearby. Next time, one night is enough as two nights is overkill. Read more

We stayed in this accommodation for one night. Unfortunately we didn't like the accommodation at all. The rooms were small,... dark, dirty and smelly. There was a dead cockroach in our room. The interior is very old fashioned. The pool is very small. Theparking spaces are directly in front of the rooms. We liked that. I can't understand how the hotel is rated so well but I don'thave fond memories of that night. The air conditioning was about as loud as a jet taking off next to you. You couldn't sleepwith air conditioning because it was extremely loud and you couldn't sleep without it because it was too hot. Read more

Small rooms, A/C was not working well, then suddenly in the early morning it started to boost like hell. Normally you have a... view, unfortunately in front of us there was a tree and bushes, so you only had a limited view on Monument Valley. Nice place tohave a look at sunset / sunrise. Pool is good to have a refreshing dive on a warm day. All in all you pay the location (+ thelack of competition in neighbourhood) but price / quality is not OK. Read more

we loved the cabin we booked, it had a nice shower and comfy beds. it was very spacious so we didn't feel crowded. the flower... bush outside our door attracted hummingbirds- how cute :) the sunset tour we booked was awesome! we loved learning about Navajoculture and the history of the land, as well as seeing some incredible sights! we got some amazing pictures and made memories!we loved our tour guide he was such a sweetheart. also, having the laundromat on site was super convenient and the attendant onduty was extremely helpful and friendly! however, i wouldn't recommend the on-site restaurant to my worst enemy. if you're usedto decent service and drinking water with your meal, do not go there. i had to go to my car to grab myself a drink halfwaythrough the sad, bland food i was served. how can it be so bland yet so salty? it was definitely canned chili. why am i beinghanded a check with an empty glass of water on my table? you can't make this up lol. and after not being looked after during ourentire meal, we were then followed out of the restaurant! what a joke of an establishment. luckily, the grocery store on site isstocked with fresh salads, sandwiches and fruits, as well as tons of frozen and canned food options. we had a far betterexperience feeding ourselves than we could ever have at that on-site restaurant. and we weren't the only patrons who werevisibly and audibly upset. the best part is that when we confronted the manager she got snippy with us! it's safe to say she'sdoesn't like to be confronted with the truth. nevertheless, our stay was extremely relaxing and equally as memorable. we'lldefinitely be coming back for another (while steering clear of that joke of a restaurant) thanks :) Read more

We stayed for 2 nights at the RV Park. Staff was friendly, showers and bathrooms were clean. We had dinner one night at the... restaurant, the staff was friendly, but the food was not very good. Sweet potato fires were cold (a new and hot batch wasprovided), we had the Navajo Tacos. We took the Deluxe Tour, and had read some very good reviews. It must depend on who yourguide is. We did not learn anything about the area or Monuments, only about the movie's filmed in the area. We learned a littleabout the area, from listening to guides from other tours. We would have done better, doing the drive on our own with a map. Read more
