In the words of Tyra Banks ?We were rooting for you! We were all rooting for you??.such a disappointment. I?ve been wanting to... check out this place for a while so I took my daughter Sunday. I will say it has a really nice atmosphere. The tables are prettyspaced so you?re not sitting on top of each other & the pricing is pretty decent. Now let?s get to the service. Our waitress wasnice. Definitely did what she could & was attentive. However, there was one point when our waitress was in the back & I wastrying to get attention of the other workers. The young man at the counter looked my way twice & said nothing & did nothing. Infact all he did was laugh as if he didn?t see me or didn?t want to be bothered. Finally when I said ?excuse me? loud enough oneof the young ladies came to the table. I was only calling them to the table due to the bleeding wings that were sitting in frontof me. On to the next issue. Our appetizer which was the wings came out with our food. The appetizer was piping hot but the foodwas Luke warm. My daughter had nachos & im not sure how the nachos could be warm & cold at the same time. I told her they mayhave been sitting & that one of the sauces used may have possibly been cold. BUT we didn?t complain about them. She ate themagainst her better judgement. Also they come on really thin chips. They almost remind me of a bag of lays. Now my dish the Cajunshrimp was good. But again if you serve shrimp in a mini cast iron skillet I expect a little sizzle or just some type of heat. The shrimp while flavorful was Luke warm which made me think they?d been sitting for a while. The Cajun cabbage was by far thebest part of my meal. I would definitely recommend trying that if you like spicy cabbage. Now back to these wings & this is alsowhere our waitress messed up. The wing sauce was good. I actually had the opportunity to try half a wing before we noticed theblood. When the waitress brought the wings back to the table they?d clearly just re-dro Read more

Always love this place when I start to feel homesick... it's Oyster Season! I had the half half - fried shrimp & fried oysters... with hand cut fries. I asked for & got Cocktail Sauce and Remoulade Sauce. Hubs had the Catfish Ponchartrain. It was a Special. Read more

Not a good experience the food was mediocre but presented well. I think the young man behind the counter scratching his armpits... turned me off. I definitely lost my appetite after watching him repeatedly dig into his pits. Read more

The "voodoo nachos" are literally soggy barbecue frito lay chips with the mediocre sauce with very few actual chunks of meat... over them, worth 16 dollars? No. The "shrimp etouffee" came in a cup slightly larger than a Greek yogurt cup. Rice and sauceall in the same container. It tastes decent, but 13 dollars? I think no. The signature roast beef po boy, was extremelysoggy... see where I'm going with this? You got me this time, never again. Read more

This is good cajun/creole place with the distinction of offering grilled oysters in several ways, and not Rockefeller or... Bienville. We had the "he made me" oysters which were great and had a nice spicy note. The Debris Fries were quite good but thecajun turkey poboy was dry. On the other hand the gumbo was very good and was the type made with okra. The gumbo was thin asgumbos go but had a nice rich flavor although I found no andouille in mine but that could just be luck of the ladle. The redbeans and rice were also very good, midly seasoned and the flavor of the beans really stood out. We will definitely be back! Read more
