Reviews for Anthony's in Old Forge, PA
I ordered out 3 trays of pizza. Two red with pepperoni & a tray of the double crust white. Their pizza is simply fantastic.... Their pizza sauce is great & their cheeses are top notch. Needless to say the pizza went over very well. In fact, they weregoing to go in the following weeks for dinner there. I told them Their atmosphere is really nice. Phyllis & Pat arePerfectionists & it shows in their dishes. Read more
Never thought I'd say this. But. I'm pretty sure Anthony's has better food than 98% of the restaurants I've eaten at in NJ. The... 22oz NY Strip was hands down the most perfectly cooked and seasoned steak I've had in years. The only steak that's come close tothis is a ribeye I had at Rails in Towaco, NJ. I told my husband we need to take a trip to Scranton just so he can experiencethis place. Read more
Our first time, and not our last. My Alfredo Bolognese was incredible. The apps were incredible. Mushroom caps with crab... meat, long hots with prosciutto and provolone. Peanut Butter Pie for desert was delectable. Everything was home made. Waitresses were nice and personable. We had a trainee tonight who was being helped by a veteran. They were both great. Thiswill be our new Friday ?once every 2 weeks? spot. Worth the 35 minute drive from Dallas to Old Forge Read more
You Need To Know? Arrived shortly after 6 & we were lucky to get a table as most of the restaurant were reserved tables. Our... dinner this evening was a Strawberry/Blueberry salad that was absolutely amazing. Could have served as a meal itself. We alsohad the Homemade Gnocci with meatball, manicotti, & ziti & meatball. These authentic homemade Italian dishes were incredible. Everyone tells you to go to Old Forge for their pizza, no way, stop at Anthony's for their amazing Italian dishes! Now You Know! Read more
We arrived at 7 p.m. on. Friday evening, and quickly realized we should have made reservations, as the place was extremely busy.... We waited a little more than 10 minutes before Aiden (more on him later) was able to find us an outdoor table and brought us ourdrinks. Outdoor seating is on the front sidewalk of the business, where 10 feet away was the busy Friday night South Main Streettraffic. We had to wait an additional 25 minutes before our server came to take our order, but our dinner was brought to us 50minutes after we arrived. The 6-slice Old Forge-style "red" pizza was very good. The crust was thick and crunchy, butpractically melted in your mouth. We also ordered 8 cuts of the double-crusted white pizza, which consisted of a blend ofcheeses stuffed between oven baked pizza dough, topped with oregano and baked onions. That pizza was delicious aswell. Anthony's is worth the trip, but not the wait, especially if you just want some pizza. It is highly recommended to makereservations. If it wasn't for the hustle of the busboy Aiden, our night could have been a disaster. He clearly stepped up andmade sure our evening went somewhat smoothly. Read more
Very small parking lot in back. Street parking also an option. Generous portions. We had at least 2 slight errors with our... order, as we did eat there. Sauce is tasty. Service was friendly and professional. Tray of red pizza should have sat about 5or 10 minutes before it was cut. Sauce on that pizza was soupy and my father got some on his clothing. Best aspect of therestaurant is the double crust white pizza. It is a good one to reheat even a few days after purchase. Read more

Best pizza in old forge in my opinion. Their thin crust style has just the right amount of American cheese and the crust is... perfectly crunchy and crisp. Both the red and white are phenomenal get a half and half sheet. I had the Fra Diavolo special andit was excellent- spicy, garlicky, huge scallops and shrimp and perfectly cooked pasta. Read more
