Stopped here because it looked super cute and wow was I surprised at how beautiful and quaint the inside and porch was. From... being greeted when I walked in to having the warmest experience ordering. I can't say how great this place is from the ownerswife bring me the food to them letting me and my girlfriend stay and eat on their porch even after they closed. And don't evenget me started on the food. The sandwiches were moist and full of flavor and the shakes hit the spot in the warm summer day. Iwill be recommending this place to everyone I meet. Great job. Read more

FOOD: This is one of the best if not the best place to get breakfast or lunch in the Old Forge area. Their food is obviously... high-quality, and they take pride in serving good food. Most interestingly, they are the only place in the area I know thatserves vegan and gluten free. Whenever I am here, I always get the El Camino. Not only is their food fantastic, but so are theirbeverages and pastries: Their smoothies and Arnold Palmer's are delicious, and their pastries are freshly baked and fluffy. DidI mention that prices per person range between $10 and $20, and that's with a meal and drink? SERVICE: I have no complaintshere. All my orders have been made correctly so far. In addition, all the servers have been friendly: The husband and wife, andthe seasonal student servers. Since the food is always served in to-go containers, you can choose to eat wherever you'd like, whether it be inside or outside the bakery, at home, or other desirable eating locations. AMBIENCE: I love the older design ofthe interior, especially with the crystal chandelier. The place is very clean, both inside and outside. Overall, I willcontinue to return here over any other lunch place in the area. In fact, I would one hundred percent recommend Dough A Deer thanthe café across the street. The food, beverages, and pastries are delicious, the service is wonderful, and the ambience isantique with some modern touches. And all for a beautifully fair price. Read more

Delicious sandwiches ! Safe for our Celiac daughter. She ate more of her GF sandwich than we've seen her eat in weeks. We left... with her saying 'im so full!" Plus, I had a caprese sandwich that was delicious. My husband had a sandwich with salami and akiller garlic aioli. We had strawberry smoothies and custom sandwiches for our children ( just turkey and cheese). I also had astrawberry fields lemonade. Everything was flavorful and wonderful. We also got a GF cookie and chocolate cake to-go that wereso good we went back for breakfast the next day. Breakfast burritos were also as delicious. The service was very friendlyaccommodating and knowledgeable about GF safe foods. All GF foods are prepared in a separate kitchen area. The space is adorablydecorated. Please support his kind sweet family while in Old Forge, you'll be very happy you did! Read more

Oh my gosh, this place is SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!! I ordered the El Camino burrito with pulled chicken and it was amazing! I also had... the Root Bear, which is like a cold brew but instead of coffee it's root beer, and it tastes amazing. I did stir it stir it andit started erupting, but once we cleaned it up, we were good to go. Along with the meal I had some of a blueberry scone and awhite chocolate snickerdoodle Blondie and they both tasted really good! If I could, I would rate Dough a Deer more than 5 stars, because it was excellent!?? Read more
