Showed up 30 min before close & they still had a great array of donuts & the glazed were still warm! Great customer service, did... not cheap out when asked for assorted (not all plain). Very clean & the drive they was fast! Read more
This is just your average donut shop with the exception of the cream filled donut. I would be happy with just a cup of the cream... filling, it's the best around! Communication is difficult. It took 5 out 6 tries for her to understand what I was asking andthen again what I wanted. Read more

The employee that helped me was very very nice, but did not give me what I asked for. My daughter wanted a donut birthday party... so I figured Shipleys would be the best! I asked for 2 dozen sprinkle donuts. Said no specific color, any color, but allsprinkle donuts. After they put them all in the box, they seal it with tape. So you can't even really double check your orderwithout holding up the line. Got home and opened it up and discovered I was just given 2 dozen of a random assortment! I had torearrange the assortment and put the most colorful ones in one box and all the others in the other. The kids will not want asolid dozen of these donuts and we are so so very disappointed. Excellent kolaches. I enjoyed the feel and flavor of the Shipley Bold every bit as much as the Kolaches at Slovacek?s in West,... TX. I?m a huge kolache fan. Although raised in OKC, I?ve lived in Texas for a quarter century and I?ve had kolaches from manydonut shops around Texas. This was my first visit to a Shipley?s. The negative reviews made me nervous, tbh. But I went in alittle after 5am and got a fresh Shipley Bold with sausage, cheese and jalapeño. It was pretty dang amazing. What I liked aboutit was there was a good amount of cheese and the bun was soft and fresh. The donut shop near my house uses sausages with thecheese and jalapeño INSIDE the sausage, and the bun is a bit more dense. This usually results in less cheese and a drierkolache. Shipley?s had ample cheese and jalapeño between the sausage and the bun, the way it should be. I mean, I don?t know ifSlovacek?s is the gold standard for a Texas Kolache, but what I had this morning is definitely worth a try. Go early! Read more
