My first visit to Bob's Fish and Seafood occurred in 2000 when I was working at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. A friend of... mine suggested that we try this place that she loved. So we headed over to 3340 North Kelly Avenue to Bob's Fish and Seafood. I?m not even going to lie to you, when I first saw the outside, I was a little bit nervous about what I was going to findinside. Turns out what I found inside was some of the best fish and friendliest people I had ever met. My friend and I wentseveral more times while I were still employed at the Corporation Commission, and then life took me in other directions, and Ihadn?t been back to Bob's Fish and Seafood in close to 20 years. Cut to today, I was talking with my mother and she informed methat she was hungry, so I offered to take her to lunch. Instead of going to our usual places, I thought I would take her toBob's Fish and Seafood as I know she loves fish. When we arrived, it looked just like it always has and when we went inside theemployees were just as friendly as they always were. We purchased her the two-piece catfish meal that came with catfish,coleslaw, potato wedges and hush puppies. I also got a piece of the apple pie, because it looked amazing and well, I was wantingsome apple pie. We placed our order and then we were given a number to hang in our car where we would wait for our order to bebrought out to us. Less than 5 minutes later we our food was delivered to us. Not wanting to wait and let the fish get cold onour trip back home, we sat in the parking lot and ate it. Now my review would be fine, but I was more interested in what mothersaid as she loves catfish and has eaten it from many places. So, after she had eaten it, I asked her what she thought. This small little hole in the wall shop would be easy to miss, and even easier to mistakenly think of as just a shop to buy... fresh fish from, but it is more! They cook fresh catfish filets and serve them up piping hot for lunch. They have a really goodratio of breading to meat that gives you maximum flavor without being overwhelmingly salty. This is my new favorite place to getcatfish (beating out some much higher-priced and fancier restaurants). Only available for take-out, but well worth it even toeat in your car in the parking lot! RUN don?t walk!!!!! I had already devoured most of my catfish nugget plate before I remembered to take a picture of it and this... is some of the best food I?ve had since moving to Oklahoma ???????????? It?s amazing the fish was cooked perfectly and seasonedso well it didn?t need any sauce! (It?s amazing with hot sauce though ????) The potato wedges were shockingly good I didn?texpect them to be breaded. Easily my new favorite fries!! I also bought some fish to take home and it?s extremely fresh I?mexcited to make dinner tonight! Everything was a 10/10 including the customer service! Loved it they will be seeing me often!!! Just a tiny little shack like building. But wow. Looks can be deceiving. A tiny fish market that cooks great catfish straight... out of the display case. Very tasty. I?m from Mississippi and it taste just like home. Potato wedges and coke slaw all great. All fresh to order and piping hot when you get it. My new local OkC catfish place !! Nice little Eastside gem that's been around for many years... The friendly customer service and outstanding fried seafood and... sides are more than wonderful... You order inside and they'll give you a number and bring your food out to your car when it'sready... You can order bone in fish or filets without... The menu isn't very big...
