It was on a Friday evening and the special was all you can eat catfish dinner. The dinner included two sides, dinner salad and... a roll. It was a very busy evening for the place. We had waited an hour for our food. People that came in after us weregetting served before us. Finally, my husband asked one of the personnel about what was happening with our meal. She checkedand shortly after, she brought out our meals. I had ordered catfish and as I took a bite of the catfish it was cold. Theserver came back a few moments later and ask how everything was. I told her the catfish was cold and to take my meal back andtake it off of our ticket and I would share my husband's meal with him. He had fried chicken and he's meal was hot. Only onething though, he had ordered the dinner salad and it came without any dressing on it. No salad dressing was offered when weordered and none offered when we were served. The place definitely needed more help to serve families in a timely manner. Theirbooths were handmade out of plywood and not completely covered on the ends. The booth seating were made to low to setcomfortably at the table. The only positive thing was they canceled our whole ticket for the meals. Enough said about Al'sPlace. We had eaten at this restaurant before when it was Grace's County Restaurant and the service, food and seating wasgreat. We loved the place then and had eaten there several times. Read more
Omg! Food was great and the meal doesn't cost an arm???????? Love coming to small town country cafe. The waitress is super nice... and didn't look at us funny or ask if we speak English or why you smell like weed. Read more

stopped in here for breakfast while on our way to Colorado and was pleasantly surprised. I don't want to say this looked like... the bad part of town but it definitely looked like the part of town where people pay attention to what they are saying becausearound here you might get punched in the mouth if you say something out of line but the place was clean, the people were polite,friendly, working class people, the staff was helpful and polite, and the food was good. traditional, continental breakfastfood, given in big portions, at a price I couldn't believe! they must not have raised menu prices since the 90's! it was thatcheap. doubt I'm ever in this area again but if I am I know where I'm having breakfast. PLEASE ADD WEEKDAY SPECIALS to online menu or a picture of the daily specials schedule?! I've been a regular for 14+ years but... still can't remember what days certain lunch specials are set. "Ali's Place II" (2) or "Ali's Restaurant" used to be in WetumkaOklahoma but moved 27 miles away to Okemah Oklahoma awhile back, but is now right off I-40 in Okemah Oklahoma!! A can not missspot for a wonderful home cooked meal while traveling on I-40!! They've ALWAYS had the absolute BEST homemade country cooking,whether it's breakfast or lunch you're looking for! If you're wanting to pick-up your always fresh, hot food order, CALL 20-30minutes ahead & it WILL be packaged and ready! Only differences are that the newer location in Okemah Oklahoma is a newerfacility, considerably larger & more seating's available! SSOO HAPPY it's still open and has always been a hit! Read more
This is a great small diner, with a good selection of homestyle food. The owner is usually there and he is usually ready for... some chit chat. I've eaten here four times now while out of town for business, and when I'm back in the area I'm sure I willdine here again. Read more
So good. Came out to Okemah for an appointment. Took my family out after and had a heavenly meal. I got the Indian Taco. Bread... was thick and fluffy, beans were fresh and meat was grilled. I had it just the way they served it. Almost as good as my ownMomma's recipe! We got desserts to go because we were full. Fried pies!!! I got the strawberry cream and it was good cold. Mysis got a cherry cheese cake home made. It had pockets of real cream cheese which was delightful. The restaurant was spaciousand bright. Workers were nice. Looks like they get alot of repeat business too which is an awesome sign. My family all loved thefood. Read more
Walked in and was greeted three times before I got to the counter. Really sweet folks working there. I got the veggie plate with... the dinner roll and it was excellent! Even the pickled beets. Lol. Do recommend. Decent choices for vegans and vegetarians also. Read more
