Reviews for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Okatie, SC
I had a very good experience at cracker barrel today. Even though I was ordering to go all the ladies I came across were very... nice. The waitress that took my order was fabulous cannot remember her name, she took my order didn't even had to write it downand she got it all right. The lady at the cash register was very enthusiastic and polite. Really enjoyed going there today. Read more
If I could give zero stars, this would be my rating! My family of five arrived at 1:15 on a Sunday afternoon and was told it... would be a 30-minute wait?no problem. After 45 minutes, we were taken to our table where we sat another 15 minutes before ourserver came to our table and said she would be with us in five minutes. After another ten minutes, a different server came andtook our order. Several tables that were seated after us had their orders taken and got their food before us. Finally, at 3:00we received our food. Needless to say, we were missing items that we had to ask to get. The food was okay (scrambled eggs &pancakes), but you would think it would be fresh and hot after waiting an hour to receive it! I understand the worker shortage, but this was beyond that. They only had half the dining room open as it is and spending two hours at Cracker Barrel is terrible, when other tables came and left after us. And to think nothing of it and offer an apology and compensation from management saysto me that they don?t care either. Read more
We had a great time. The staff was very pleasant and the food was really good. Be prepared to wait a bit because they are very... busy and a little short staffed, but that's pretty much anywhere you go. I suggest to take a jacket with you because the ACworks very well. Read more
Husband wanted to try this place out and we had a self proclaimed ?new to this location? server which felt a bit irrelevant and... like she knew she wasn?t going to give great service so get ready. She delivered on that promise. Did not anticipate a singlething. Refills. Biscuits. Napkins. Check. You name it- We asked for it. She didn?t seem bothered. Just stayed in the back untilshe had to come out. Chicken fried steak had no gravy. Had to ask for it. At the end, she couldn?t be bothered to make sure shegave us the check for the right table- crazy to me! Didn?t go in with high expectations and won?t be back - except to see thegift shop- maybe. Was looking forward to the cheesecake pancakes and was not disappointed. I'm sorry but the coffee is just dirty water. I'm so... used to drink my home brew Starbucks that's hard to drink anything else that barely has some flavor. Nice experienceoverall. Enjoy coming here when in the area. 4 stars because the service was glitchy. Read more

My wife and I are in the area visiting from NY. This Cracker Barrel was close to our Hotel. We had never been to one before. We... thought Southern comfort food. We were very happy with our choice. Waitress was very young and very attentive, she was verypolite and very helpful with explaining the menu. We both went with Southern fried chicken and were very happy with the choice.I had dumplings and cooked apples as a side. Very good, something we don?t see up North. On the way out we browsed the store.Overall good solid dinner. Read more
This Cracker Barrel's food quality, service and overall dining experience is consistent with the majority of other CB Stores.... Today's labor pool and staff shortages impact nearly every regional restaurant, regardless of brand...Sunday afternoons and SunCity dining trends do challenge this store's available staff and service. At times all's well, other times require patience andunderstanding. As frequent customers we note management's attention to and frequent success with service challenges. The CrackerBarrel dining experience we all expect and enjoy can be found here, these days with patience & understanding. We also wouldlike to acknowledge outstanding job performance by a CB staff member. Collin far exceeded customer and CB job expectations on abusy Sunday afternoon. In the Host position he was pleasant, focused, anticipated customer & staff needs and 'owned' the floor. As retired f&b mangers we recognize staff who get it, see the big picture and most of all - cares...Collin is a CB asset andshould be acknowledged and developed. In addition, he declined a cash tip, a class act. Read more
