As long as you can get past the attitude of the owner the food is delicious!!! We will be back for sure as this was our first... time but to anyone reading just take the owners attitude lightly cause she's all business like getting a fresh meal at homeis. After a short conversation and us being long time costumers of Maple Express we completely understand the attitude and it'struly kind of funny when knowing the owners of Maple Express. I?m not sure who does the ratings for restaurants in Utah. This is yet another well rated restaurant we?ve tried during our... trip to Utah that was bad! Don?t be fooled by the inflated ratings here! This place is not a four star restaurant! Fried foodhad a funky taste to it, like the oil was old. My dish had an unappetizing gelatinous sauce, and my rice also had an ?off?taste. My husband said that his food tasted like it had been previously frozen. Restaurant was clean and our waitress wasexcellent (she literally ran around) but the food was a big NO. I always loved Maple Garden when I was little and was sad to see it close. Luckily, it reopened at the Union Station with the... same quality of food. I love the Szechuan chicken the most and the ham fried rice is good too. The lady who is there most of thetime who I think is the owner has been very nice and at one point we had forgotten something at the table and she ran out of theestablishment to give it back. Mind you this was on a very busy day and so we were very happy with the service. One day though,she came across as a little rude, but I?m sure she was just joking. Maple Gardens has been around for a very long time. I went there for years when my children were young. They have since moved to... this new location and the menu has fewer items than it used to, but they have done what they have needed to, to survive afterall the Covid closures. Came here on a Friday afternoon and was surprised to see such a select amount of people. The server was quick, the service in... general was as well. The food came out swiftly and the food itself was pretty damn good. Much better than most Chineserestaurants in the area anyways. The chicken was tender, the rice was soft, the egg drop soup was a great starting size and hadpretty decent flavor, and the wontons were crispy.
