Amazing food in a most unexpected locale! Irina (who came here from Ukraine in 2005) makes amazing sandwiches and a type of... pizza which is most delicious. She also serves blintzes. Everything is made and served with pride. Irina told us that she plansto run her food truck throughout the winter in town (Ogallala) - definitely worth a stop if you are heading through on I-80! Our stop at Lake Mac Shack was such a wonderful start to our morning in Ogallala. Just what we wanted, great food and friendly... service. It was so fun and refreshing to speak to the owner and see the pride and joy she gets from cooking this delicious foodand speaking with customers. Highly recommend!! The Lake Mac Shack is a great place to get a high quality breakfast (and more) at the lake! I ordered the breakfast sandwich and... the Ukrainian Crepe which were both delicious! The owner is very friendly and even threw in a scone for free. I wish I would?vetaken some pictures but I ate it all so fast! What a cute little place! Went with some school buddies? we got street tacos, california pizza, and a panini! All great and... yummy choices, made fresh and in a great amount of time! My best friend and I came from Omaha to see Lake Mcconaughy and stopped here for brunch. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and... Ukrainian crepes. Everything was hand made. There is one person there running the whole show and she was phenomenal. Making thebatter for the crepes while getting EVERYONES breakfast sandwiches fixed and handed out. When we got our food? Amazing! Thesandwich was crisp flakey fresh and savory. The crepes, there are no words she made them with love. A MUST GO when in the area!! Read more
