My step mom found this place when she was staying at the Holiday Inn and Suites nearby awhile back and said I had to try it. I... had the pulled pork and fries. My stepmother had the Carolina pulled pork, potato salad and corn on the cob. My dad had the codand a baked potato. The food was fantastic, huge menu with a lot of options! Waitress/The girl who picked up my call wasn?t honest but lazy on Sunday night past 7 pm. She told me the restaurant was fully... packed and can?t take any order. So we should call back again in an hour or later. We live close and thought that is veryunusual?then decided to drive by to order in person. 5min drive took us there. The restaurant was almost empty. Sleeper BBQ place. They are consistent as well. Their pulled pork is legit. But, they have a broad menu, so there is something... for everyone. Ethyl's pricing and fair at first glance, but you get A LOT more food for your money than other places. Arrived on a Saturday night. We were told 30 to 45 minute wait . Totally fine and acceptable for a party of 8 . Waited an... hour fifteen to get seated. Not so great amd frustrating when you have four hungry kids . We ordered the house special Buffalochicken dip . We will never how good it or was because it never made it to our table . I ordered the meat platter . Brisket ,ribs and pulled pork . All bland amd no flavor. Brisket was on the edge of being inedible as dry as it was . No smoke tasteon any of the meat. A step back in time! What a great suggestion by the girl at the front desk. Definitely a local favorite and now its our favorite... too! Lots of memorabilia from a simpler time. We sat at the bar and out bartender ( Cori) was friendly and fast, plus sheremembered what we were drinking. The bar was full and she was the only one working the bar! We both had a salad ( blue cheesesteak) it was very delicious. Everyone was very friendly and it had a warm atmosphere. We are passing through for one nightbut I have pinned it on maps just in case we pass through again! Just off I- 70 easy access if you're in this area.
