Reviews for China King in O'Fallon, MO
This is the worst food ever and it makes me sick. We ordered 2 beef fried rices which were bland as heck and the meat looked... very questionable. Also, the crab ragoon is awful. It is a weird shape and doesn't taste right. If you want some really goodChinese good go to 1st Wok on Hwy K. They actually are worth it. I spent way too much money for yucky food which upset all ourstomachs Read more
Absolutely horrendous, I could have made better for less. The beef chow mein had absolutely no noodles, it was just onions and... celery with tough, stringy beef. The crab Rangoon were a strange shape, which wouldn't have been a problem if the wrap wasn't soburnt, the meat wasn't sour, and it actually had some meat in it, the ones I received were the exact opposite. Worst of all werethe dumplings. The dumplings were not only burnt, but the meat was questionable in origin, the whole thing just left an awfultaste in your mouth. Was not worth 40 dollars Read more
I don’t even understand how they charge what they do and Serve what they do and are still open. Worst Chinese place in the... whole entire area by far. Food taste like it was made in dirty pans super greasy. Meat inside fried wonton doesn’t look likemeat. All terrible after taste. Bad bad experience would not recommend. Read more
We decided to order even against the reviews and honestly I found the food to be very flavorful and well presented. Ordering... online was very easy and the driver who brought our food was extremely polite. Our whole order arrived with no issues. Weordered Crab Rangoons, Teriyaki Chicken appetizer, spring roll, egg roll, Orange Chicken, and sweet n sour chicken. My son whois a picky eater enjoyed the Sweet N Sour Chicken. The Teriyaki Chicken appetizer was very good a little salty(soy sauce) but Ilike mine like that. The Orange Chicken was lightly crisp and sauce was flavorful. Crab Rangoons were good. The Spring roll wassweet and crunchy. Egg roll was good. Great experience. Thanks! We had a great experience Read more
after seeing a few chinese restaurants around me, i figured i'd give this a try. I ordered chicken chow mein and fried... dumplings. Being my first time ordering chow mein, i figured it was something similar to panda express chow mein. Not in theslightest. They advertised their chow mein as crispy noodles and they were far from it. Too soggy and the chicken tasted funny. The fried dumplings were too oily and tasted like they were made from a wheat type flour. The rice tasted stale. and i wasntprovided egg rolls, instead i got fried wonton strips that taste like tortilla chips. worst chinese food ive ever had. Read more
This was a most disappointing meal experience. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the lady was very nice. Ordering: To... start, I ordered on line at 10.30am (website indicated they did not open until noon), with an order pick-up time request of12.15pm. I received a notification at 10.45am that my order was ready! I called to see if this was correct - it was. I told themI'd requested a pick-up time after 12pm and would they please remake the order closer to that time. They agreed, but I have noway of knowing if they really did or if they just kept the food hot. Order pick-up: I had requested 'no white rice' with theentree items, and extra crispy noodles with the hot 'n sour soup. I got one teeny bag of noodles and two containers of whiterice. I asked for the extra noodles and was told it would be $1 per teeny weeny bag. Not even in pandemic times could it bejustified to charge for the amount of noodles they were providing. I reminded that my order was to have *no white rice* and thatit seemed an even swap for the noodles. She agreed and took the white rice back (that's when I realized there was white rice inmy box of food). There were packets of soy sauce provided but no fortune cookies. Now the food: I have never had hot 'n soursoup that was sweet before. I think they added sweet onion to the broth. It was weird and not very good. I expect hot 'n soursoup to be spicy and rich/earthy. Not sweet. The beef with broccoli was okay. It was the thickest sauce I've ever had on thisdish, but it was okay. This is the first time I've ever seen Krab (yes, that's fake crab) in my shrimp with LOBSTER sauce fromany Chinese restaurant. It added a very unpleasant flavor to the dish. It seems to be a Missouri thing to present this dishessentially as a soup - with like 5 shrimp to a pint of very thin sauce. One of the shrimp I ate had a very strange texture andI ended up spitting it out. The pork fried rice - the rice was okay. The pork looked like it should've Read more
They're nice have never had any huge issues, the food is always hot and they don't take long on delivery. Only thing Ive noticed... is that the fortune cookies have gone downhill. Spent the extra dollar for a pack of them (wasnt upset about the price eventhough they used to always come in the bag, covid i guess) until i got them only to find one out of the whole bag was decent. The others all stale. Again everything hot ice had was good and theyre nice people but just some advice for the next. Read more
