We love trying independently owned coffee shops, and this is close to home-score! We got there shortly after they opened at 8am... on a Saturday. The young lady behind the counter was on her phone, and there was another young lady in the back working ongetting pastries out. We love the decor and the menu. The Americano I typically order everywhere we go was both too hot and tobitter to drink. Sadly, the employee behind the counter couldn't tell me what most if the pastries were, and there was nolabeling on them. Usually, it's obvious with pastries, but it wasn't obvious what berries were used in the bread/cake loaf oron the danish, so I didn't order The cheese danish was a bit chewy, but the filling was delicious and tasted home-made. YUM! Wethought my husband ordered an apple crumble something, but again, it was mis-identified by the employee. It was oatmeal-we'restill not sure what exactly. My husband says to give them another try, so I might, because I want them to be successful. Maybeproviding more training before putting employees behind the counter would help. The coffee shop is fantastic! They have great food and wonderful drinks. The owner is a super sweet little Italian lady, and... she is literally one of the nicest people I have had the privilege of chatting with. The only downside to this location is thatsince they?re attached to the salon next door and the walls don?t go completely to the ceiling, even talking at a normal volumeyour conversation can be heard in the adjacent salon room, and sometimes customers come out and yell at people to be quietbecause they are in the other room and ?don?t want to hear your conversation.? While this does not happen all the time, I thinkit is worthwhile to know that the coffee shop is connected to the salon and you do need to keep conversations low. Read more

Very inviting to come in and sit down. We tried all 3 souffles and coffee cake, and they were tasty. Good coffee.

The two people working when I went in were so great. We enjoy having a good selection of ground coffee on hand at home so when I... arrived to #1 Nails before they opened, I decided to run in and grab a local blend.
