I try to visit this place when I make the trip to Odessa. The wait staff is always friendly. The drinks are always refilled... promptly. The food is always delicious. The atmosphere is weird. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY!! I have been going to the Barn Door for as long as I can remember and have never had a problem. However,... due to my husband's health, we opted for delivery this time and were absolutely shocked by the lack of quality in the food. Wespent well over $100 dollars on steak that wasn't fit to eat. My medium rare steak was no where near 9oz and so tough, thin, andovercooked that I gave up trying to eat it and gave the rest to my dog. His chicken fried steak ended up being a chicken cutletand was cold and dry. The beef tips we ordered for his mother were so overcooked and dry she also stopped eating after a fewbites. I would expect this from fast food establishment so it makes me wonder if it was because we didn't dine in that we weregiven such bad quality. You can't send back a delivery. Delicious food, great service, fun atmosphere! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Prime rib was so tender I could cur it with my... fork, baked potatoes were hot, fresh, and scrumptious. Bar drinks were perfect - not too weak or watered down. Will be back forsure! Read more

My steak was not bad, don't know why they seated us in the bar area. The place was empty. My husband got the buffet and it was a... couple of rooms away. We should be back next time we're in Odessa. Read more

Have never been, so we thought we would stop by. Wife ate the 12oz ribeye and loved it and I enjoyed the lunch buffet. Only... problem we had was we were seated in the bar area. A good walk away from the buffet station, and our waiter keeper getting lost. Read more

7/2/21: I ate at 12 PM and there was no wait and we were seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and helpful at all... times and was great. A bowl of gumbo was given as a complimentary appetizer, as well as the delicious soft bread. The block ofcheese was amazing and compliments the bread well. I ordered the 12 once ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection anddelicious, and the mashed potatoes with brown gravy was also perfect. I had the bread pudding for dessert and wow it was so goodand excellent for dessert. Overall the meal was amazing with great staff and great atmosphere. Read more
