Ellie Lou?s Brews and BBQ is a solid choice when you?re looking for good food with options for the whole family! Let me first... start by saying there is an entire section on the website to alert you of food allergens in each item. As a family with severefood allergies, this is much appreciated! We had: -Loaded Baker with Chicken. Served exactly as described with a huge helping ofchicken to top it off! -Pit Boss Nachos. Enough for a meal with leftovers. The nachos were delicious. BBQ Cobb Salad. Perfectwhen wanting a healthier option but still want to enjoy bbq. 2 item combo with green beans and Mac n cheese- meats, sides, andsauces were all good. Fries were good. Corn Muffins- Yum. Perfect size and exactly what I?m looking for in a corn muffin. Great staff, excellent location. It can be difficult to find BBQ restaurants in Windermere, but the point is that this one is... great. Nice room. Food was great. We just thought that the sauce on the beef slab was a bit too sweet, but great in general.Very clean and very helpful staff. Read more
Decided to check this place out a couple days ago. Fast casual place with great bbq. We ordered the kc wet sandwich and the pick... two platter (brisket and pulled chicken) both were delicious. Would definitely recommend! Read more
I catered my husbands retirement party with Ellis Lou?s Brews & BBQ and the food was outstanding! We served bone in chicken,... pork, settlers bean and Mac/cheese. The meats were seasoned perfectly and very moist. The beans are the best I?ve had inFlorida. The Mac/cheese was an absolute favorite. Leigh was so helpful and professional. Brisket had such a nice flavor. Baked beans were the best I've had besides my own. Service excellent. Ellie came around to talk... to everyone and brought each of us a sample of gospel grits. Very cheesey and delicious. Read more
New find for us and will definitely be back. Had the pork sandwich with mac-n-cheese. The sauces are all delicious. The only... thing that would put them over the top, would be to add banana pudding for dessert. Read more
The brisket was great! It's sliced instead of pulled. The pulled chicken was also very good, but I liked the brisket better.... They have 4 different BBQ sauces. I personally liked the Kansas City BBQ as it's a more traditional flavor, but the Memphis wasgood also. There's also a mustard and vinegar based Carolina Gold, plus the Southern Lava with habanero and ghost peppers!???? I didn't care for the double-fried fries, but the corn muffins were super tasty! I hate having to give a negative review for a restaurant???? I had such high hopes for this place. I had a craving for burnt... ends. That had me searching for local BBQ spots. This place had pretty good review, so I thought that maybe it would be goodenough to satisfy my craving. Um...not even close! Ordered carryout of 2 meat platters to the tune of $41+ with brisket,bone-in-chicken, and pulled pork. I honestly don't know where to begin. The brisket was gray and fatty. I turned it over andover, looking for a darkened bit somewhere. Big chunks of fat took over the majority of our double portion. With burnt ends andwell cooked brisket, the fat pieces almost melt. There was no melting here. In fact, the meat was barely warm, making it just aterribly unsatisfying, inedible bite. The bone in chicken...look, I LOVE ME SOME CHARRED FOOD!!! This poor chicken had everybite of life literally cooked out of it. You know when it's an old piece of chicken and the meat doesn't look like meat anymore? See pics. And I thought the brisket was bad...you couldn't eat this chicken???? The fried corn-cold, sides-luke warm in temp.The mini cornbread at least seemed fresh, and my husband liked the coleslaw. If I would have been eating in-house, I absolutelywould have sent it all back. We don't have $41+ to literally throw out!!! Ok, won't exaggerate: $41+ for 1.5 mini corn muffinsand a side of coleslaw. That's just not ok. I'm really hoping someone contacts me to try to make it right. Read more
