OMG! The chicken and gnocchi meal is amazing! This was our first time. We sat at a picnic table and the service was a little... slow but the meal was worth the wait. Four out of six in our party ordered the chicken and gnocchi and everyone loved it. Ican say, without a doubt, that this is one of the best meals I've had in my life. The chicken was perfect, moist with crunchyskin. The gnocchi was good. I loved the addition of the butternut squash and the sauce was plentiful and amazing. I always loved this place, the pizza is thin crust and a little burnt because of the high heat cooking process, I think it is... the best pizza! Unfortunately the service is truly lacking and that will keep me from going back. We arrived on a Saturday nightat 8:20 and were greeted at the door by a young man who immediately said we are closing in 10 minutes, that would be 8:30 andnot 9:00 as stated on their website. He didn’t offer to seat us and when I said we would go across the street to Best Pizza hejust let us leave. I also don’t think that you should greet a customer that way even if they were closing soon. We ended upgoing across the street to Best Pizza, service was fabulous! They didn’t close early and had quite a few customers that mayhave gone to Privateer if they treated customers as if they wanted the business! Read more

My husband and I live in Oceanside and went here for the first time late afternoon and sat out on the covered patio. Nice deck... and set back from the street. The pizza was outstanding...perfect with a thin, slightly blackened crust. We did a basic cheesewith house fennel sausage, pepperoni, roasted mushroom, jalapenos and onions. Phoenix was nice enough to warn us that the saladswere large and she was right because the half size was enough for the two of us, which was appreciated. So glad this place opened. Went for the first time last Saturday. Had the Octopus appetizer and the pepperoni pizza. Delicious.... The octopus was charred to perfection and the roasted cabbage and beans it's served with are a perfect pair. I love coal firepizza. The dough was hot crisp and doughy inside that is a perfect combination. The sauce and the crisp on the pepperoni set itoff. Read more

Definitely come and eat here ! Everything is good ???????????? We came for a birthday dinner ???? and we all enjoyed ourselves!... It was a party of 12 We got wine , appetizers, pizzas ???? and everything was made to perfection! The waiter ( Harmony or Melody) I forgot her name she was so sweet ! Also sage was such a big help !
