The Pass at Piper is a legitimate contender for the best dining experience in San Diego. We are local to Oceanside and love the... emerging restaurant scene in North County. The Pass is a special dining event not to be missed. The food is sensational, thereis dynamic interaction with the chefs and other diners. There are ~10 seats within Piper for the Pass. The only concern I haveis that this "Chef's Table" experience is not well-marketed and not easy to identify from a general search on the web. The Passat Piper in the Seabird Hotel is a magical experience! Read more

This is our second day having breakfast here and a very good decision. The crew is amazing. Welcoming people, smiling and can... have a small chat which is very important. You don?t feel like a customer but a friend???? The prices are a little bit high butwhen you are eating beside the ocean, you shouldn?t think much about it ???? You can have organic fresh pressed juices it is anamazing healthy way to start your day. The food is delicious, i suggest you try all???? A nice bar if you would like to have adrink. Outside tables exist besides the fire if you wanna feel a little bit warm. In the end highly recommended ?????? Read more

We had a lovely dinner here while staying at the Seabird. I am obsessed with the 4 cheese ravioli. The only reason I gave it 4... instead of 5 stars is because our bread was very burnt and tasted like gas from the grill. Read more

My husband and I had date night at The Pass inside Piper. It's a pasta bar, but the pasta is not necessarily Italian. They... have a different theme each week and the chefs prepare the food right behind the bar. Our food was amazing! The chefs are soengaging and informative. It was an incredible experience for a date night, but I want to come back with friends because I can'tstop talking about what a great time I had. Don't be turned off by the set menu, you can always tell the chefs what you don'tlike and they will do their best to accommodate you! Read more

This was not a pleasant dining experience. #1 complaint - we ordered, lamb meatball and they arrived at our table < 3 min after... order, I mean ridiculously quick meaning they were not for our table and looked as such ? they didn?t even come from thedirection of the kitchen, they came from behind us. They were nuke warm and the sauce had been sitting and was dull, not vibrant- we sent it back. #2 complaint was service: I don?t know if our server was too busy or just not good at her job, but she wasVERY inattentive. I do not complain often but the poor appetizer quality and the poor service really made for a bad experiencedining overall. Our server visited every table around ours multiple times but only us twice and most importantly she didn?t cometo our table AFTER we received our food. This is the most critical point to a good dining experience, the "the two bite checkback" and she failed... we even had to get the manager to come over just to send the meat balls back because she didn?t come by.We also had the fish and smoked potatoes, and they were both average. All in all - I will not visit again given the cost, wewent across the street, next to the Valle (HIGH/LOW café or something) and had a MUCH better breakfast dining experience ?highly recommend this place. Food and service was awesome. Read more

Delicious breakfast prepared from locally sourced products. Piper?s omelette was exceptional. I highly recommend this place even... if you are not staying in the hotel. The breakfast might be on the high price side, prepare to spend $30+ Read more

We weren't able to book a room at the Seabird so we ate at the Piper. The service was great, it wasn't crowded and our food was... available in about fifteen minutes. I will definitely be back! Read more
