I just reached food Nirvana. Ordered carry out ribs and coconut shrimp from the Sugar Shack. It was so good I wanted to drive... back to shake their hands. My husband?s ribs and the rice n beans were fantastic. My steak would have been fantastic if it were cooked. I ordered it well... done and when it was brought out, it was literally still bleeding when I cut into it. We sent it back and a few minutes later itwas returned. One side was a little less red (cooked more at medium well), but the other side was still bleeding. I don?t likepink to begin with, but I?m pregnant and cannot have pink in my steak. I didn?t want to send it back again, so just ate the sidethat was medium well. Paid $26 for a 12 ounce steak and really only got about 4 ounces of steak. Not worth it at all. Best food in Ocean Isle. Made reservations on open table. Small place so highly recommend you make reservations.
This is a good place to go and eat at ocean isle! You better call and get reservations because this place is very popular! You... have to get the Jamaican patty they are so good. The staff is very friendly and they take care of you. Don?t forget to get a redstripe! Read more
Food (and dessert) are delicious. My husband and I both started with beef patty (pastry pocket). The crust and filling were... perfectly textured and delicious. Served hot! Ribs with curried rice (photo) were incredibly delicious. And a generous portion.Some of the best ribs I?ve had. Fall off the bone, so tender, and smoky! Nothing was spicy, just well seasoned. Amazing food and the absolute best service. All of the food we had except for beef patty had almost no spicy heat and would be... perfect for everyone. If you would like it spicy they will accommodate you. The stamp and go (cod fritters) was a new item forme and I loved them. The strip steak is one of the best steaks I have tasted. The food is awesome. I highly recommend the ribs and their specialty, goat. I cannot recommend doing take out. This was the... second time in a row with a bad experience. I called at 5 and was told the to go kitchen didn't open until 6, so food would beready at 6:30. It wasn't ready until 7:15. Some of the food while good would have been better if it hadn't been sitting for awhile. I suggest trying to get a reservation and eat there. Read more
