STAY AWAY. Servers were very friendly, as it was end of season they didn?t have a lot of the items on the menu which is... understandable, but I believe we were fed whatever they wanted to get rid of. Chips were stale, soft taco shells were hard, thetuna tasted at least like it was made last week and then the Birria tacos tasted like Lysol. And then we get our bill and wasastonished at an almost $100 bill for the most disappointing food that we did not even eat. I had the worst taste in my mouthfor the rest of the day and I?m hoping not to get sick tomorrow. Read more
Margaritas were delish and the bartender was so friendly! Make sure to order guac and chips
I thought this place was excellent. We had the nachos for sharing which were enormous(enough as a meal for two people )They were... very unique and had a lot of interesting, tasty things on them. My wife had the surf and turf bowl which she enjoyed greatly. Ihad fajitas, and they were nice enough to grant me a special request/change on my order. Those were some of the best I?ve everhad aNd I have had many fajitas before. Our servers were attentive and very friendly. My only complaint and it?s a minor one,was the music. I?m not a country music fan, and that?s all that was playing there for an hour. This is not a reason to deduct astar because all of the food was so good- I just thought the owners might want to know so they mix the tunes up a little bit????I don?t come to fire Island all that often, but when I do I would definitely eat here again. Absolute worst experience I?ve had at any restaurant, ever. I am not a fancy person, but I expect basic things like cleanliness... where there is food being served. I?ve been coming to Fire Island for years with my family and was absolutely shocked at howpoorly this place was run. I almost don?t even want to write this , but I just would like others to avoid what we experiencedhere. First off, we came here on a weekend and it was crowded , which I understand is hard to keep up with cleaning , but theplace is super small and it doesn?t take much to at least make sure the bathroom is somewhat tidy. I used the bathroom whilewaiting for a table and that alone turned my stomach. I?ve seen dive bars in the city and grungy places whose bathrooms arecleaner than that. I figured , you know what, I?ll still try and give this place a chance? give the benefit of the doubt. Badidea? We then proceed to sit down and order a round of drinks ( 4 people at the table ) , and wait about 20 minutes ? the drinkscame out AFTER the food ? not to mention the food was COLD. We spoke to the waitress ( and I honestly just felt bad for herbecause it wasn?t her fault), and said the ? ovens were broken??? Which implies the food is Pre cooked and merely heated.. notthe freshest.. The chicken tacos I ordered were not only cold, but they had no flavor. I was afraid to it because I thought Imay get food poisoning from it. To top it all off, the glass of wine I ordered was rancid , which does happen to wine. Onceagain, that is understandable. However , when I spoke to the bartender, he didn?t even say sorry , or offer to open a new bottleof wine, or anything. My stomach was so turned off that I wound up eating nothing, and that is saying a lot. I have literallynever experienced anything like this and on top of it they never even apologized. An absolutely horrible experience and juststay away. Read more
