We were looking for a great brunch spot in Fire Island and were pleasantly surprised with what Rachael has to offer. Hands-down... the best bloody Mary?s on the island. Our kids loved the oatmeal and the French toast (even if the French toast for the kidssize was too small). We went on a holiday weekend and the wait wasn?t too bad either. It would be great if they had more outdoorseating but The food was very good and worthwhile spot for breakfast or brunch. Will definitely be back. Read more
Currently standing inside Rachel?s right now and I?ve been waiting for a chicken Cesar salad for almost an hour. Everyone who... ordered in front of me already got their food. So, I asked them nicely to check on the order. So much resistance was given tosimply ask the kitchen for the status on my order. I was told it just ?takes a while it?s getting finished right now?, and I?vebeen waiting 15 more min. Food keeps coming out of the kitchen for others. Even though I already dropped $20 on a salad wrap,I?m about to walk out and buy something somewhere else. Update: finally got my food and it was alright. Not worth the wait. Best restaurant on the island; high quality ingredients, fair prices and light dishes where you don?t feel like a beach whale at... the end yet you do feel full and recharged for the rest of the day. Delicious food. The best on fire island and an amazing restaurant for New York in general. The restaurant is mostly family run.... All staff are extremely kind. Very helpful in accommodating dietary restrictions as well. The food tastes amazing, clean, andhealthy. Great quality. I get food from there at least daily when in ocean beach. The gelato is also amazing. The dine inservice is a little slow but still great. Highly recommend this restaurant. My pictures are only from my takeout order. You musthave the Flounder sandwich and the chocolate hazelnut ice cream. Read more
We had the most delicious dinner here! We have been coming to Ocean Beach and Kismet for 10+ years and have always struggled to... find food that is as good as our home NYC and wow Rachel?s beat all of our expectations. We had the linguine with shrimp andclams and the eggplant parm and both were some of the best we?ve had. The staff is super friendly and the bird?s eye view is anice switch up from the same water views you get at every other restaurant here. Such a good burger!!! Was very hangry since it was 6pm and i hadn't eaten lunch and this tasted amazing!! Was so full... afterwards. The staff was friendly and attentive. The ambience was chill and not as busy compared to other places!! Highlyrecommend!! Read more
Rachel's was an excellent dining experience. Portions were worth the price and each member of our party enjoyed all of our meals... including pasta, chicken, and paella. Cannolis were exceptionally good. Our waitress Sherry was very personable and attentive toall our wants and needs. Read more
