Food was average - except for the rolls, they were delicious - however service was terrible. I sent this email to them, will no... response back - and still waiting. I had to contact my bank and challenge a charge for an item (as listed in the email) that wasnot received. Since no response, I have to option but to post this review on various social media platforms. Here's theemail: Apologies for the delay in writing this. I've been traveling and I also wanted to get information from guests thatattended my mom's surprise 80th birthday party that you "catered" at the Saddleoak club. There are a number of failures on yourpart that I'd like to point out... 1. You were an hour late delivering the food... If I catered your event and was an hour lateyou wouldn't be happy either. 2. We ordered three sausage and pepper plates but only two were delivered. 3. You would know thishad you come in after my group unloaded your vehicle and placed the food on the table... But instead you just left... You didn'teven carry anything inside. 4. I'm glad we spoke beforehand and I ordered more food because if 75 guests had come there wouldnot have been enough food. As it is, 55 guests arrived and there was barely enough food... The only items left were some of thecakes and sliders... And know that the majority of the guests were over 75 years of age so they don't eat much. 5. The $25 fruitbowl appeared to be canned fruit that you dumped into a bowl and added a few fresh sliced items. 6. Two guests pointed out andshowed me a hair in their vanilla cake. 7. Guests complained that the sliders appeared to have a tablespoon of egg salad or tunasalad or chicken salad and a small piece of lettuce. 8. Everyone loved the rolls. Please take this as constructive criticismand ideally you'll learn from this. Based on my experience and the guests that attended, we probably wouldn't recommendMagnolia bakery...that saddens me... Very fattening donuts with plenty of fluff, sugar, and frosting. Delicious. Colorful. The only food for blocks so wish they... had something halfway healthy. Years ago city pushed to revamp Magnolia Ave, but not more happened. Glad they?re there. Read more
I enjoyed the baked goods I purchased, which was cookies and bread. I learned that everything is made freshly in-house, which... surprised me, because when you see the items in the case (namely the cookies), they look just like every other Italian cookieyou've ever seen anywhere, including Publix. When I tasted them I did think they were superior over what I've tried elsewhere inthe past. I think that this is a missed opportunity. They take pride in what they make but they don't present it very well. Ithink that could make a big difference for them, because people want to buy things that look amazing in addition to tastinggood. Read more
Clean cafe, friendly staff, delicious desserts, and fantastic prices! It's not everyday you get a freshly made cannoli and two... Italian cookies for $4! Will definitely be back in the future to try one of the delicious looking cream cheese muffins and somecoffee :) Read more
Magnolia bakery provides outstanding products and superior customer service. Their food in baked goods are as good as they get.... Customer service is outstanding. Linda, delivered our products to our neighborhood after I had walked out and forgot my cherrycheesecake. Linda and her husband are two of the hardest working people in business today. If you find yourself in Ocala Floridago and try the world famous bread and other outstanding baked goods. Read more
I genuinely really enjoy the Magnolia Italian bakery. They have excellent Subs. It looks like they have tremendous Italian baked... goods and you can get a free loaf of bread with a $10 purchase. The service is tremendous, you can tell they really care aboutwhat they're doing. I can't wait to go back again. 10/10 all the way just like the prosciutto and provolone. Read more
I have never written a bad review, but I have to write this one to warn the people about what you pay for and what they deliver.... The bakery had photos in the store with cakes done by them. We pick one (see the first picture below) and proceeded to order itand paid $456.96 for such wedding cake (the only difference was that it was going to be with silver colored ribbons, of which webought and gave to them). To our surprise the cake we received was the one shown in the other pictures (see below). Judge themyourselves. We were very specific with our order and after requesting a partial refund, these were the excuses from the bakeryowner : 1) They had lost their picture of the cake (if that was the issue, she could have called us and we would have gladlyprovided her with it) 2) They were charging for the cake, no matter the design (we were specific with our order that we wantedthe cake to look like the one in the picture. Also, they brought the 3 cakes in gold plates, when we specifically said that thecolors of the wedding was silver and white. 3) We could have returned the cake and we would have received our money back. (Thecake was delivered the same day as the wedding, we could not get another cake in such short notice) 4) They did not do refunds(see previous response and tell me it makes sense, because it does not. We are just requesting a partial-refund for the cakepiping, artwork that was not done, and the unclean finish look of the cake. We paid for a product with money and money back iswhat we expect to receive. We also understand that there was time, work and ingredients involved to make the cake, for thatreason we are not asking for a full refund). The older lady from Boston, who's also a champion wrestler, makes the best subs ever!!!!! I return time and time again. The... pasta salad is also great! Love this place. Read more
