The food, drinks, & service (Racheal) was good. In speaking with Trevor(manager) upon leaving, the front host, Mike has a task... to check on customers to see how things are going & if there is any additional that can he can do to enhance the diningexperience. For some reason, Mike (lead host) clearly & obviously refused to check on our table. He circled the main diningarea (roughly 7 tables) a few times speaking with each table, looked at us (celebrating our anniversary - OpenTable) & keptmoving. It seemed like clear discrimination from my perspective. Let a sour taste in my mouth. Not sure if I will be back, butthe goal is to make everyone feel equal (regardless of race, gender, religion, etc...). For this reason, I suggest informing thehost to check with ALL patrons or NO patrons during the dining experience. It's unfortunate because the host has one of the moststraightforward job on staff. Had to try the onion soup at a place with onion in the name and it didn’t disappoint! Short rib stroganoff was perfectly... creamy and the pow pow shrimp had the right level of spice. Extensive hole made dessert menu made it hard to pick but weultimately choose the 3 layer signature cheesecake. Service was friendly and prompt too. 5 stars all around! Read more

We are not from this area and decided to try it out based on looking at the menu online. This place is absolutely phenomenal!... Every bite we ate was beyond delicious from the bread to the dessert! The staff was very pleasant as well. Would highlyrecommend! You will not be disappointed! Read more

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at The Braised Onion. Our server was new but attentive and knowledgable. When she was... waiting on other tables, other staff worked together to refill drinks and check on tables. The food was outstanding and the ArtDeco decor and ambience were wonderful. We had the braised onion soup, lobster bisque, grouper special, and lobster Mac andcheese, which had a ton of lobster meat in it. Read more

The food was delicious, we ate almost everything, that why I couldn’t get any pics of the dishes however, some of my potatoes... were raw, and the French fries were too seasoned, everything had way too much Parmesan. But at the end was so good Read more

When you have a privately owned restaurant, a host should always be at the door. Other than the first two minutes, the staff... was very attentive and friendly. The POW POW shrimp was pretty good. I had the lemon chicken. Most of the food was reallysalty. Not sure if that’s the usual or not. I might visit again if I knew my cholesterol was going to sky rocket. Read more

My husband and I went here for the first time and we were blown away. The service, the ambiance, the food - everything was... perfect. We had the onion fritters as an appetizer. For dinner I had the lobster risotto and my husband had the country friedsteak. It was the best meal I've ever had (and that includes my meal at Gordon Ramsay's hell's kitchen). Perfectly seasoned. Ican't say enough about our dining experience. We were well attended by the staff and they were so nice and very professional. For dessert we took home the chocolate mousse and a pint of Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream. They were heavenly! We've found ournew favorite restaurant! Read more

We are having our wedding rehearsal dinner there in a month and wanted to go check it out. I am very food knowledgeable and am... quite the foodie. In my opinion this was the best meal I have eaten in Ocala, and in my top 5 all time.. The General ManagerTrevor was a huge help, very knowledgeable and spent time with us talking about everything. A true professional and aninvaluable asset to the Restaurant. Pictures: Read more
