We ordered with Uber Eats. The portion sizes were too small for the price charged, just not value for money. The side dishes... given was just one and no Kimchi. The worst part is, when you eat in their resturant there are many side dishes, so its not fairfor them to send only 1 side. Read more

We recently ordered a takeout from the Oakville location after years not been to this place because we were a bit disappointed.... We ordered kamphungi and tofu kimchi. The tofu kimchi is pretty good but kamphungi was terrible. It's $27 to begin with for aplate of fried chicken balls in spicy sweet sour sauce. When we took a bite, almost missed the chicken, and it's consistentthroughout.. because these balls are full of flour and very little meat. You can see from the pic. I started my Owl of Minerva journey from downtown Toronto 20 years ago. Now I live in the west and am surprised to find Owl in... Oakville. Pork bone soup is still my fav but Spicy pork stir-fry and bulgogi also became our regular order items. I don't knowwhat the secret recipe is but their cucumber side dish is by far the best I ever had. My kids don't wanna eat any other sidedish but the cucumber. The little kicks of sweetness and sourness are just prefect. Rice is always cooked to perfection. We lovethis place. So cozy and definitely the comfort food we always go to after a stressful workday or a super cold day. The waitersand waitresses at this place are super friendly. It feels like home. Thank you Owl. Ordered kimchi bokkeumbap (fried rice) and japchae. Both prepared well. Had to place the order an hour before I picked up even... though it would only take 15-20mins for them to make. I was told it would be prepared closer to my pick up time and the food wasperfectly hot when I received it. Overall, good food. Just wish there had been more side dishes offered other than thecucumbers. Read more
