The banquet burger is hands down the best burger I've ever had in my life! So far the 4 people I've brought with me over the... time to try it have also agreed it's the best burger they've had as well. The french fries also hit it out of the park. Whoeverthey got cooking back there knows their stuff! Staff is always friendly and the environment is relaxed and feels very inviting.Great place to enjoy some amazing food and a couple beers while you watch the game. An interaction that occurred this evening ruined our experience and view of this place. The fact that it was on an evening that... we both needed a nice night out made it worse. We had dinner, paid the bills, and were having a second drink. A large party camein and needed or table. The waitress seating them said they should be leaving (about us). Three guys from that party stoodstaring at us. This made us uncomfortable, obviously. When my friend went to the bathroom the waitress came and asked for thechair. When I let her know that my friend was coming back and sitting there, she just took it anyways saying she can use theother one. I understand needing our table but making us feel like we needed to leave and unwelcomed was not necessary. I havenever experienced this before at any restaurant. Usually people are not seated in an area if there is no room for them. I guessthe intention was to rush and push us out. If this is how you treat your guests we will not be back. For the second time I had to plan a celebration of life for one of my parents. Back in 2018 when Sarah was managing the location... our event went as smooth as it could. On September 10, 2022 as we had pre arranged a celebration of life for my mother who hadrecently passed we encountered one of the worst experiences and awful persons I?ve ever dealt with. As we filled that buildingwith paying customers far more than what would be seen on a regular day/week, we had Nigel sit with my brother and myself. Wetoasted to my mom and he expressed how happy and grateful he was and how it is good for their ?family? pub. Shortly after thatthe owners son the (manager)Dominic came up to us and told us in an assertive manor how they just lost one table due to it beingtoo loud. I?ve never felt so disrespected by a manager in my life. The way he handled the situation was hands down the mostdisgusting behaviour I?ve ever seen in a manager of a ?family? pub. I truly hope he learns better customer service one day. Ihope he learns compassion and grace. Never will I step back in this place again after years of going year from their firstopening, to holding two celebrations of life and countless weekly outings. Read more
We had an event at this bar this Saturday afternoon. This was a celebration of life so it was for family and friends. The food... was ok but took a very long time and was over cooked. The servers were lovely. The area was hot a muggy. Even with all of thiswe had a lovely event at this bar. At the end the owner Nigel?s son came up and tried to give us an issue about the children andhow they lost a table because they didn?t want to be around children. It is important to note that this is a family pub, aplanned event and we brought them 30-50 guests all drinking throughout the afternoon event. Absolutely shocked that they thoughtit was even remotely appropriate to bring up that they lost a table of business and that it somehow should of fallen onto usbecause of this. Absolutely disrespectful and disgusting. Food = subpar but good prices Bar = outdated and no AC Beer = toocarbonated Service = slow because they?re understaffed for the amount of people but the servers were wonderful. Owners =disrespectful and unprofessional Overall if you are looking for a place to host an event I would suggest many other bars inOakville. Read more
