Reviews for My Roti Place / My Dosa Place in Oakville, ON
Another dosa place added to my list! Tried their Mysore masala dosa and liked it!! ???? But the star dish for me was their... 'Butter paneer roti'! The gravy was so yumm and complimentary fryums & mini gulab jamun was such a nice surprise ???? Surelygonna visit again ???? Read more
This was my first visit. Dosa was good and crispy but there was too much salt in it. Idli was not soft, sambar and coconut... chutney were more watery, the red chutney was good. Just an okay place, I guess. I had a bit more expectation! Read more
Very clean place. Feels like a fast food joint. I ordered mama's curry Roti. The portion is huge. Tastewise it is not bad.
We have tried different items from this restaurant because of the rating on google. Let's begin with south indian at the dosa... place we ordered Plain dosa, Masala dosa and One portion of idli. Dosa was okay but the sambhar was watery filled with water andthe coconut chutney was below average. Idli was the only item which tasted authentic. We decided to order north indian food frommy roti place. We ordered Kadhai Chicken Roti on side, Butter chicken roti on side, Butter chicken poutine, Honey cauliflowerand Mango pistachio cheesecake. The cook went wrong with kadhai chicken the yogurt was curdle in the curry. The chicken is cutinto random big pieces which is chewy, Taste is below average. Butter chicken poutine and Butter chicken curry when we cook ororder butter chicken the chicken pieces are well marinated and then they make tandoor in charcoal and then it's added to yourcurry but all curries have standard random huge pieces of chewy chicken with no flavour. The taste is disappointing. The mangocheesecake taste good nothing fancy like the name for the price it's small but it's okay to try it one time. The curries comeswith crackers which are good in taste because of the chaat masala they add to it. It's crispy and about the dessert gulab jamunthat comes with curries the size is so small one gulab jamun divided into two that's the size. The roti is fresh taste good.Poutine again the chicken remains standard white thick bland meat the poutine is more like cheesy fries with butter chickencurry added to it this is not authentic poutine. Will i order again No. Read more
Was excited to try out a new (to me) dosa place. We tried the Chettinad chicken fry, Mysore masala dosa, oh my idlis, masala... dosa, mango lassi and spiced buttermilk. The Chettinad chicken was really delicious and we loved the flavors. The idlis didn'tappear to be freshly made but were very good. One of the masala dosas was very nice and crispy the other was soft and chewy...So a bit of hit and miss there. The mysore masala dosa was a big let down. It was burnt on one side and soggy and chewy. Iwasn't able to finish it. I am yet to find a good mysore masala dosa in the GTA. The mango lassi was fantastic. The butter milkwas spicy and not to my taste buds though my wife liked it. The chutneys that were served with the dosas were verygood. Seating is limited to 3 booths and a couple of tables. Will definitely visit again to try out the rotis which seemed tobe more popular than their dosas. Read more

So we were on our way back home from Burlington after a tiring day and in no mood for home cooked food. Our friend recommended... this place for some real good South Indian and at the same time Roti stuffed with paneer (we are vegetarians). On entering thisplace the hinge somehow multiplied and the taste of the food was too good. Good to the extent that we got some packed for thenext morning as well. The dosa we had was the best in the last few months and the paneer stuffed roti was not only creative butvery very tasty. The folks at billing were very helpful and were suggesting options when we had trouble deciding. Wouldrecommend this place anyday !!! Read more
I have recently ordered a delivery of masala dosa, mysore masala dosa & vasa sambaar from this place. At start, I was a bit... afraid whether the fox will get cold by the time it reaches me but I must say that it was wonderfully packed and I am sure itwas prepared when the delivery guy went there to pick up. Everything that I ordered tasted delicious and authentic. But mysoredosa that I know of which we get in Mumbai is very different that this one. I am not very sure about how it should be but theone you get on Mumbai streets is definitely better (Can?t afford the tickets to visit Mumbai for a dosa????????????). Quantityof the food is very filling and satisfactory. I have never visited this place but I?ll surely will. Adding some videos for abetter look and feel. Have fun exploring. ???? Read more
