It is very rare, for me to write an online review, unless the food is extraordinary. Quite recently, I ordered take-out from... Tipunan. I ordered the Kare-kare, Dinuguan, and Turon. The entrees were savory and delicious !! I will be returning to Tipunanin the future, when I am visiting the Bay Area. Read more

First, let me say I rarely, if ever, write online food reviews. I found myself in Oakland over the weekend craving good Filipino... food, which is hard to find in Sacramento. I opted for takeout from Tipunan after reading some positive reviews online. Weordered crispy pata (pork belly, litsilog), sisig, and bbq chicken skewers. Lunch was absolutely delicious. I honestly think itwas the best fried pork belly I've ever had. When I'm driving through Oakland, I will absolutely try Tipunan again. Pleasesupport...the food is tasty and the prices are reasonable! I was in the area staying at my in-laws without a car. Luckily I found this place right around the corner. I was thrilled to see... that they offered all day breakfast so had to order the Litsilog. Also ordered chicken adobo and a side order of chicken lumpia.Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the Litsilog. I will definitely be back to try the Longsilog and Tapsilog. Ihighly recommend adding garlic rice to any order. It was amazing! Read more
Delicious Filipino food from some dedicated chefs! These pics are from my first order with them; it was all very good and... extremely needed on a bad day. On my second order, I went to pick up in person and the people running this joint turned out tobe so friendly! They gave me pointers when I confessed I was new to Filipino food, and appropriate containers had holes or wereopen to the air so crispy food didn't get soggy (like the lumpia!). My favorite so far is the sinigang--so rich with such depthof flavor, but not heavy. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of the menu. Read more

You?re my go... to spot especially when I don?t have to get groceries at Seafood City. Also bring back that Pho-style soup or better yet BeefMami (I think it's called) style soup.
